I stepped back. Keeping my hands in the air. "Hold on, I can explain." I said.
"No explanation now." She said walking close. Max came behind her. I looked at him, asking him to stop her. He shook his head. He too was on her side.
"Hey! you guys are teaming up. At least listen to me." I said and walked backwards.
"No." She just said a single word and speeds up her pace. The next moment, she was exactly in front of me. I closed my eyes standing into an attention position. I was expecting a punch or slap from her. 'Ok ok, I'll take it.' I thought. But what I felt next was nothing of that both. She wrapped her hands around me and pulled me into a hug. I slowly opened my eyes one after another.
"Umm." I said then cleared my throat. she pulled back and looked at me. "Where have you been?" She asked with teary eyes. I bit my lips before parting them to speak. Now I was more guilty than before. 'How should I tell them?' I thought.
