Everybody in the world has ever told lies. Whoever it is, must ever tell a lie.
Parents ever told lies, teachers ever told lies, even corruptors also ever told lies.
Whoever it is — no matter how honest that person — must have told a lie.
But it no for Hoshi.
That bald student is loved by others because of his honest characteristic.
He never told a lie.
Ah, no, he ever told a lie but always get caught by others. Unlike us who can hide our lies, Hoshi is can't. A weird sign will show from his part of his body every time he told a lie, so everyone will notice.
Because of that, I can proudly say that Hoshi CANNOT tell a lie.
Hoshi could not tell lies after he got a curse/weird power.
Hoshi's weird power is: Whenever he tells a lie, his head will shining.
The bigger Hoshi's lie, the brighter his head will shine. So whenever he told a lie, Hoshi would definitely get caught.
According to research, the average person tells lies eleven times a day. As it turned out, the research was correct. Hoshi's head sometimes shines while talking with his friend. I always laugh when saw it. Every time Hoshi's head shine, his conversation partner would shut up and immediately pointed at Hoshi's face, saying: 'Hey, you're lying, huh?'
Hoshi always gets embarrassed when he is caught up lying.
Come to think of it, it was so hard to live as Hoshi. He must refrain from telling lies. Maybe it sounds easy, but actually not telling lies is a difficult thing to do. Especially when his friends make fun of him.
"Hoshi, do you like Sera?"
"No, I don't." Hoshi's head didn't shine. That means, he was telling the truth.
"What about Maggiana?"
"No."
"What about Nana?"
"No."
Sera, Maggiana, and Nana watched the conversation. They seem annoyed.
"What about Akemi?"
Hoshi silent. Didn't say anything.
"Hey Hoshi, come on answer!"
"No. I don't like her!" Hoshi's head shining.
The students who were watching the conversation burst out laughing. Hoshi looked down in embarrassment. Meanwhile, Akemi didn't seem to care. Hoshi often got this kind of bullied by his friend, but of course, they're just joking.
Even though seem useless, Hoshi's weird power can be useful at the right time. One of the cases is when I was teaching in the afternoon. At that time, the sky was cloudy and the class was dark. I turned on the light to make the class brighter.
"So, to get an X you have to substitute it for—" The light suddenly went out. The room was getting darker.
"Well, because of the blackout, we must stop for a moment until the lights come back," I said.
"Sensei*!" Sera--the most diligent student--raised her hand. "How about we ask Hoshi to tell lies? Later his head will shine, and the room will become brighter. So we can continue our lesson!" Sera gave advice.
After saying that, Sera was stared at madly by the other students who were lazy to study. Their gaze was like a lion that eyeing its prey. However, Sera didn't seem afraid.
"Sorry, my voice is gone. I can't say any more lies," said Hoshi, his head immediately shining.
The light that comes from Hoshi's head brightened the whole room. The person sitting next to him immediately closed his eyes.
"Yeaayy !!!" The students cheered.
"Come on Hoshi, say another lie!"
Hoshi grumbled. "I told you, my voice is gone!"
Triing ~
Hoshi's Head Shines.
"Yeaayy !!"
That afternoon, Hoshi's voice was really gone as he kept telling lies for us. The lesson was stopped. All of us were watching the light from Hoshi's head instead of continuing the lesson.
