Chapter 1 - Prologue

In a dark alleyway in Kikka, a girl could be found cowering against a brick wall surrounded by a bunch of nobles. The girl wore a plain but elegent pastel yellow dress underneath a white long sleeved blouse. The sleeves of the blouse were loose but tightens halfway through by pastel yellow ribbons. The blouse also had a long collar and in the middle of it, was a ribbon pinned by her family emblem, which signifies that she is from a noble family. The emblem was a gold crescent moon. The skirt of the dress stops mid thigh. She also wore a thin brown belt and hanging from it was a bag that contained her grimiore. Her feet were covered in white colored leather high boots that had the same emblem sewn into its sides in gold thread. She's quite short for her age and had lavender colored hair that she put into a single loose braid that was hanging off her right shoulder with a few loose strands framing her face. Her eyes on the other hand were a bright yellow and falling from it, were her never ending stream of tears.

"No, no, no...I-it w-was an a-accident.."

"Oh but was it really, freak?" One of the nobles asked.

Another one chuckled before saying, "Or was it because mummy and daddy hurt your feelings? I mean, who could ever like a monster like you?"

At this statement, the lot of them laughed which caused the helpless girl to cry even more. She was already on the floor, arms surrounding her legs and head as she tried to make herself smaller, hiding away from the world.

No, no, no... They're lying! Mother and Father loved me. It was just an accident!.... They're right, though. It's all my fault! I did that to them. Even if it was just an accident, I did that! I shouldn't have come out here. What was I even thinking?

As the girl succumbed to sorrow and blamed herself for the events of that tragic day 6 years ago, she didn't notice how her mana started flowing and coming out, slowly but steadily overflowing, against her will.

The nobles surrounding her started feeling the overwhelming mana that was coming from her which immediately put a stop to their laughter.

"Wh-what's happening?" One of the nobles asked, stepping back in alarm.

The others also took steps back in fear as the mana just kept growing in an alarming rate that it made the crouched down girl in front of them glow a bright yellow that it was blinding them.

"L-let's get out of here!" The noble who was nearest to the crying girl shouted before turning to run out of the alley with the rest not far behind.

The girl was left in the alley, crying out her sorrows. The more the girl cried, the more it grew and if this continued for another few seconds, the alley along with a mile of it's surrounding area would've been destroyed.

Luckily, that wasn't the case this time.

"Oi! What's going on in here?"

At the sound of the new voice, the girl looked up and whimpered in fear as the stranger took steps towards her. With this fear, the mana only grew stronger, so the stranger stopped.

The stranger takes out a long bladed weapon surrounded in dark aura and slashed at the light that was emitting from the girl. The force threw the girl further into the wall she was already pressed into, shock replacing her fear and despair.

Though the method was a little bit over the top, it got the job done and stopped the area from exploding.

The stranger took the cigarette from his lips and blew a puff of smoke out form his lips.

"Oi. Are you trying to destroy the town? I can tell by what you're wearing that you're a noble, so what's your deal here?" The stranger asked.

Snapping out of her shocked state, she looked up at the stranger, sniffling and hiccuping, "I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean it..."

The girl noticed the robe the man was wearing and paled significantly, "I swear Mr. Magic knight sir, it -hic- really was an accident -hic-! I can't -hic- control -hic- my magic!" She whimpered out frantically in between hiccups.

The stranger just stared at her for a few seconds, occassionally blowing smoke from his lips.

The girl was getting worked up and panicky at every passing second the magic knight stranger remained quiet that the uncontrollable mana was slowly starting to overflow again.

Then suddenly it all stopped when her vision was suddenly blocked by a piece of clothing. The girl shakily took the cloth into her hands and held it out for her to see. At the sight of the logo, her eyes went wide and she looked at the stranger in disbelief.

The stranger smirked through his cigarette, "You're strong. I like that. If there's a perfect place for where you can control that magic of yours' kid, it'll be in the battlefield."

The girl, still unable to form words together only stared at the stranger in astonishment.

"Hmm.. I'm gonna be late if I don't start moving my ass, so I'll be on my way. If you don't want it, you can just throw it away, otherwise, you come find me in that building over there before the sun sets." The stranger said, nonchalantly nodding to
