-Great Hall - Halloween-

Today is October 31, the day known for the holiday called Halloween, and I and the rest of the Hogwarts students are in the Great Hall participating in the annual feast, which is not only to celebrate the holiday, but also to celebrate the day of defeat of the most feared Dark Lord of all time, Lord Voldemort.

Everyone is eating, laughing, and having fun... everyone but me. I couldn't calm down as I knew what was going to happen soon, and my wand seemed to fell the same as me because it was vibrating in my holster.

I then glanced at the Gryffindor table and noticed the lack of a certain thick-haired witch.

'It looks like everything is going to happen like the canon' I thought.

Today is the day a Mountain Troll will "invade" the castle. But the truth is, he's going to be released on purpose by our adorable, stammering DADA teacher, who was planning to use the troll's distraction to sneak into the forbidden corridor.

But if you're thinking that's where it ends, you're sooo wrong. After that happens one of the most important things in history, and there are those who say that it's the most important event in the franchise.

After everyone is notified that the troll has been released, the Headmaster sends all the students to their dorms, and everyone does...except the two first years of Gryffindor. These two first years are Potter and Weasley who decide to go and warn Granger that there is a troll loose in the castle, but when they reach the bathroom she was hiding in, they find said troll.

After a lot of confusion, yelling and wands in the nose, the two boys manage to defeat the troll and save Granger. And from there begins the friendship and creation of the golden trio, also known as the protagonists of the franchise... Well, protagonists if I weren't here.

The reason I'm so nervous is that I plan on following Potter and Weasley to help them, or even defeat the troll myself. You might think I'd be better off leaving Granger's rescue to Potter and Weasley, thinking that everything would happen like in the canon, but my being here may have had some butterfly effect, and even if the odds are slim, I still don't want to risk the life of an innocent girl.

I may have even said before that I didn't want to get involved with the golden trio and the problems they get into, but if I need to I wouldn't mind interfering, as it wouldn't make much difference to me other than putting me on the radar of certain people, which inadvertently would happen.

Also, something in me is excited to face the troll, and that's the same feeling I get when I was in a fight in my neighborhood dojo or in martial arts tournaments, and also when I flew a broom for the first time and when I entered the forbidden forest.

*Bang!*

As I was pondering, the doors of the Great Hall were flung open, and from the door came Professor Quirrell, who ran by, breathless and panicked.

"Troll… in the dungeons…" he said shakily, "I thought you should know" before passing out forward.

As soon as he finished speaking, the Great Hall fell into a tense silence, before being broken by the screams of panicked and scared students.

"SILENCE!" Headmaster Dumbledore's calm voice echoed through the hall, and when all the students fell silent he continued to speak, "Prefects, take the students to their dorms and stay there until your head of house shows up"

As soon as he finished speaking, he and the professors left the Great Hall, and the prefects then began to gather the students. And while all this was going on I was paying full attention to three people, two of them being Weasley and Potter who started whispering to each other, and the last one being Quirrell, who got up at some point and started to slip out of the hall, unnoticed by students.

When my house was in the hallway heading towards the common room along with the Gryffindors who were in the same direction, I noticed that Potter and Weasley started to sneak out of the group, and wasting no time I started to follow them, but not before casting a self-created illusion spell, which made it look like I was still in the group of students.

As I followed the two of them down the halls towards the girls bathroom, I started to think.

'I understand they're brave Gryffindors and all, but couldn't they have tipped off a prefect? And while we're at it, why only the two of them noticed Granger's absence? I know others may not like her, but wouldn't that make her more remembered?'

'Besides, why did the Headmaster send the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs to their dorms? He and the teachers should know that the two common rooms are close to where the troll was said to be.' I kept criticizing in my mind, 'Although the Headmaster has full control of the wards, so he probably knew the troll wasn't in the dungeons... But the teachers didn't know that, and that's a very big demonstration of their confidence in the Headmaster, and it's stupid... Sigh'

I then continued to follow them through the hallways, until they passed the girls bathroom door and kept running.

'Why did they pass the bathroom?! Shouldn't Granger be here?' I exclaimed in my mind, starting to think wildly. I then used my senses to sense if there was anyone in the bathroom, and to my surprise there was no one.

'If she's not in that bathroom, where is she?' I wondered, continuing to follow the two Gryffindors.

After following them for a while, I noticed they were heading towards the second floor girls bathroom, the Myrtle's bathroom.

'Is she here? Why did she move? Is this the butterfly effect?'

But any of my answers cannot be answered as I started to smell an incredibly strong stench, and with that I knew the troll was close. I then saw Weasley and Potter turn around the corner of the hallway, and I soon followed behind them, only to see them frozen a little in front of me.

The reason they were frozen is that a five-meter mountain troll was in front of us.

The troll was so ugly it hurt my eyes. It looked like I just received an intimate photo of a naked old Frenchman wearing maid clothes with kitty ears... And don't ask me why I was so specific.

The troll was gray and wore rags for clothes, and I decided to keep the question of how trolls get these rags and why they wear them at the back of my mind. He also had a huge club, which he happened to be holding aloft ready to knock on the ladies' room door.

I then stopped, looking at the troll as I wiggled my nose, annoyed at the strong odor.

'Well…that's an ugly problem…very ugly' I sighed.

End.

(End AN: I'm so happy that I managed to buy tickets to watch Siper-Man: No Way Home, and I'm going with my friends on the 18th to enjoy this wonder of my favorite hero (Please God, I hope Andrew and Tobey are on film).

I hope the movie is good, or at least meets my expectations, as this is the first Spider-Man solo movie I'll see in theaters.

Well... At least I'll be with my friends, and we're gonna have a lot of fun in the meantime, hehe.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter!)
