-Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw-

The sixth and last match of this Quidditch season had started, with the two teams fighting fiercely and frantically, trying to gain advantage over each other.

Both teams knew how important this match was to them, with each having a specific and different reason for wanting to win.

And while the chasers jockeyed for the quaffle, Harry and Cho roamed the field trying to outwit each other as they looked for the snitch.

But something that felt different was the fact that Harry was playing more aggressively.

Well, aggressively is not the right word, it would be more accurate to say that he was playing with more determination and energy, taking advantage of the fact that he was mounted on his Firebolt to gain an advantage over Cho, who had no chance against the incredible speed of that broom. state-of-the-art.

"He flies better than his dad" Sirius said with a proud smile, feeling nostalgic to see a boy with black hair and glasses flying for the Gryffindor team.

Professor McGonagall, who noticed this look, only smiled softly with a hint of sadness at Sirius, knowing full well what that feeling was, for she had felt the same way the first time she saw Harry flying on a broomstick.

"Yes, and he was flying this well before he even had the fastest broom on the market," Remus said, feeling impressed even though he'd seen Harry fly before.

Hearing this, Professor McGonagall snorted, "He had already shown himself to be a great flyer in his first flying lesson."

"Oh really?" Sirius asked interested.

"Yes" Professor McGonagall nodded, "I remember like it was yesterday when I saw a boy with black hair and Gryffindor robes fly past my office window at high speed"

Professor McGonagall then looked sideways at Sirius, "And what's even more impressive is that he's never flown on a broomstick before"

Smiling, Sirius looked up, seeing Harry dodge a bludger, "So he's a natural flyer just like his father," he said.

"And that's not all he looks like his father," Professor McGonagall said with pursed lips.

"Huh?" Sirius looked at her confused, and seeing this she started to explain.

"That day he first flew Rolanda had to go out to take Mr. Longbottom to the nurse, and she ordered everyone to stay in their seats and on the floor" and here Professor McGonagall frowned, "However, Mr. . Potter clashed with Draco Malfoy, a boy from Slytherin."

"Malfoy? The son of Lucius 'Hairgel King' Malfoy and my cousin?" Sirius asked.

"Yes, that Malfoy," Professor McGonagall replied, saying nothing about Sirius' slight offense to the older Malfoy other than letting a small smile play on her lips, which disappeared as quickly as it came.

Professor McGonagall then shook her head and continued, "Well, that day Mr. Malfoy took Mr. Longbottom's Remembrall and took off, threatening to break it and taunting Mr. Potter in the meantime, and to prevent Mr. Malfoy from destroyed his housemate's item, Mr. Potter got on his broom and started chasing him"

"Oh..." Sirius said, surprised and a little proud, "Actually that would be something James would do"

"Yes, and that's why after seeing his incredible flying skills I decided to introduce him to Mr. Wood who was and is the captain of the Gryffindor team, and it was no surprise that Mr. Potter ended up becoming the Seeker of the team" Professor McGonagall said, smiling happily.

She still thinks it was a great choice to introduce Harry to Wood, even though Gryffindor has yet to win a Quidditch Cup.

Of course, that wasn't Harry or the Gryffindor team's fault, they were just unlucky that a boy with a lot of special abilities, mostly physical, decided to play too.

"Well, I know it's not necessary, but I wanted to thank you for that," Sirius said to Professor McGonagall.

"Huh? Why?" she asked.

"Because flying is one of the things Harry loves most, and in a way you're the reason he can fly and have fun," Sirius said, smiling softly at the feline teacher.

And hearing this, Professor McGonagall blinked in surprise for a moment before smiling too.

Sirius then looked back at his godson, "But I have to say, I've never seen a person fly as fast as he does... In fact, they're all very fast."

"Well, it's been 12 years since you've seen a Quidditch match, and broomsticks have improved a lot since then" Remus said, "And Harry is even faster after you gave him that Firebolt"

Hearing this final sentence from Remus, Professor McGonagall stopped, turning to the two in confusion.

"What do you mean you gave him that Firebolt?" Professor McGonagall asked Sirius with a frown.

"Huh? Oh, I sent it to Harry for Christmas" Sirius gave a simple reply, which only made Professor McGonagall's brow furrow even more.

'So Ethan was lying when he said that it was a friend of his who bought the broom for Harry?' Professor McGonagall wondered, but then she shook her head, 'No, I know Ethan, and I know he wouldn't lie about something like that'

Professor McGonagall then looked at me who was in the sky dodging a bludger, lost in thought.

'Hmm, so if he wasn't lying, that means the friend he was talking about was Sirius' she concluded, but that only made her even more confused, 'But that raises other questions, like when Ethan met Sirius? And why didn't he tell someone about it?'

And with all these questions on her mind, Professor McGonagall glanced at Sirius, who was happily watching the match, unaware of the confusion that was in Professor Animagus's mind.

-On the Quidditch Pitch-

The match was very tight, with both teams scoring many goals. It could be noticed that both teams were using all the tactics and rehearsed plays they had in their repertoire, but none of these tactics managed to make one team stand out over the other.

But even with the match so disputed, the team that was most under pressure was Gryffindor, who knew that the current score favored Ravenclaw, and that's why Wood asked for a break to reorganize his team.

While the game was paused I started flying towards my team, who were getting together as well as the Gryffindor team to probably come up with another tactic.

But when I was approaching my team I heard someone call my name, and turning around I saw that it was Harry, who was looking at me with a look that was hard to decipher, but from his emotions I could tell he was upset.

"Look Ethan, I know what you're trying to do" Harry said with a sigh as he arrived in front of me, hovering in the air on his broom, and I looked at him blankly.

"What am I trying to do?" I repeated with a confused look.

"Don't pretend you don't know" Harry rolled his eyes, and that only made my confusion grow.

"I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean," I said slowly.

"Ethan, I think it's obvious to anyone here that you're holding back... You're not taking this match seriously" Harry said with a grimace.

"I'm taking this match seriously" I said, but he continued to look at me as if he didn't believe my words, "Sigh, look, you might think I'm lying, but the truth is, this match is very important to Ravenclaw, so it's obvious I'm going to take her seriously"

"Oh really?" Harry asked with a sarcastic look.

"Yes, and I don't know if you noticed, but Ravenclaw is winning, and I was the one who scored the most goals" I then crossed my arms, staring at him with a raised eyebrow, "And if that doesn't make you realize that I'm playing seriously so I don't know what would do"

"You might even be telling the truth, but you know what I think?" he asked me, now also crossing his arms, "I think you're not playing to all your abilities because you know that then Gryffindor won't have a chance to win, and you don't want me to lose so humiliatingly in front of Sirius"

And as soon as Harry said it I blinked in surprise for a second, before realizing that my lack of response basically confirmed Harry's suspicions.

And without waiting for me to say anything, Harry continued with a tired sigh.

"I can understand why you're doing this, but I don't want to play in a match where my opponent isn't even trying," he said, shaking his head with a disappointed look, "And besides, you might not realize , but what you're doing is more humiliating for me than me losing to Sirius"

Looking at Harry, I could see that he was actually more sad than pissed at me, and I stopped to think, realizing that if it were me in his place I would be sad too if a friend of mine didn't play serious just to make me feel good.

And realizing that what I was doing wasn't something a friend would do, I sighed.

"I'm sorry, I guess I didn't realize how stupid I was being," I said, scratching the back of my neck.

Hearing my apology, Harry stared at me for a few seconds, before letting a small smile appear on his face.

"I forgive you" he said, and when I opened my mouth to speak he continued, "But only if you promise me you'll start playing seriously"

"Well, I promise" I said with a slight smile, which slowly turned into a cocky grin, "But I want to see how you're going to explain to your team the beating you're going to get"

"That's what we'll see" Harry snapped with a smile almost as cocky as mine.

End.
