Chapter 7 - Ch.7: Expelled?

"We've arrived, go to your dorms and pack your things and get ready to leave." Miss Jenkins said with a bitter face. None of the people in the helicopter were in an upbeat mood except for Mr Hilbert.

The group slowly walked into the academy with their heads down in anger.

"Argh! I knew something was off about the boss monster we were assigned!" Michael roared in a low voice so that no one could hear him. If any other student heard him they'd probably laugh at him for 'being too weak' or 'incapable of passing test'.

They all looked at each other as they parted ways and went to their dorms. Who would've thought that this test would cause so much damage to them. One of their teammates was injured while the other died, they all wanted Mr Hilbert to die for what he did.

--30 Minutes Later--

The group assembled as they walked out of the academy; heading towards the helicopter that would take them home, but as they walked out of the academy, they saw a scary-looking man that gave off a domineering aura. The man looked like a unsurpassable mountain to the 5 students as they stared at him.

They were all questioning whether that was one of their friend's parents or something because the man looked mad. But as they got closer, they could see Mr Hilbert's grim face. Previously, he was ecstatic when he heard they were getting expelled but thanks to the appearance of the scary-looking man, his face paled.

The group also noticed Miss Jenkins's happy face, unlike earlier. They were confused as to what exactly was going on.

"You 5." The scary-looking man said.

The entire group shivered when the man called out to them. Maybe they were in more trouble than they thought? But why? Tons of questions ran through their heads as their nervousness reached a new height.

They were sweating by the time they were only a few meters away from the man.

"My name is Killian Zasho, your principal." The group felt like lightning struck them when they heard what the man said to them. This Killian was their principal? It was known that the principal never meets freshmen, no matter the circumstances!

"I've heard about the recent incident regarding the latest combat capability test for the freshman. To think Mr Hilbert would try to get his own students killed..." Killian didn't even have to look at Mr Hilbert for him to start shivering in fear.

"Since you all were tricked and put into an unfair situation that would have guaranteed your deaths, I'll make an exception and allow you all to stay in the academy." Everyone received a shock when Killian said this except Miss Jenkins. She knew he was a fair person and that he wouldn't let such injustice slip by.

Mr Hilbert's face grew paler by the second and he wore an ugly and angry expression. The group looked at their principal in disbelief. They were hoping what he said wasn't just a hallucination or a joke.

"A-Are you j-joking? O-O-Or are y-you f-for r-real?" Liam managed to get out of his mouth, although not without greatly embarrassing himself. The principal spared him a glance, specifically the odd color of half his hair.

"There's no benefit to joking with you 5. Take your belongings and go put them back in your dorms. Also, get ready, tomorrow the freshmen will go to the SloC Forest."

'SloC Forest?' Liam thought.

"SloC Forest, all low-leveled slime-type monsters are found there. You can keep your same group if you want. The strongest monster you'll find inside the forest is a semi-boss." The principal said.

The group felt excited as they heard the principal's words. That meant the group wasn't in any real danger if they went into the forest.

They all walked back into the academy and part ways again, this time, putting their belongings back in their dorms.

As Liam was making his way back to his dorm, he heard a familiar voice around the corner.

"I told you babe, I wasn't doing anything with another girl!"

"No one said anything about another girl, you were caught being desperate during the morning a few days ago! I'm done, Henry!"

"Aww, this sucks!"

It turned out to be the guy Liam embarrassed on the morning of the combat test. Liam decided to go to his dorm anyway, the guy couldn't do anything to him unless he challenged him to a duel.

"Hey! Who are you?" Henry roared at Liam. He was still mad and wanted to take his anger out on somebody.

Liam ignored Henry and proceeded to unlock the door to his dorm without speaking a single word. Henry became enraged when he saw Liam's response to his angry words. He felt like he was being looked down on for what happened recently, as if he was an ant to every body else.

"Hey! I challenge you to a duel!" Henry yelled loudly so that everyone would be able to hear him. If people heard Henry's words, then surely Liam wouldn't be able to refuse right?

Just as Henry predicted, multiple people came by to see the commotion. When they saw what was happening they became excited, they hoped a fight would break out or Liam would except the duel.

They all looked at Liam with eyes full of anticipation.

"No." Liam said in a deadpan tone before unlocking the door and going inside his dorm. Although his heart was beating a little quicker than usual, it was nothing compared to what happened to him recently.

"SloC Forest huh? What a weird name..." Liam said to himself as he sat down at a chair in front of a desk. On the desk were 2 potions with bubbles coming out of the top. One potion was red and one potion was green, the red potion gave off a dangerous aura that aroused the violent thoughts in Liam's head but he tried not to pay attention to it.

The green potion on the other hand gave off a calming sensation that suppressed the violent thoughts in Liam's mind. The bubbles coming from the top of the green potion released miniscule amounts of smoke that repeatedly tried to pervade into Liam's body through any spots.

This entire time, Liam refused the smoke from entering his body but this time he decided to let the smoke entire his body.

As the smoke entered his body, the first thing it did was build up and occupy his left arm, and after what seemed only about 10 seconds, Liam couldn't feel or move his left arm at all.

He felt his heart drop in fear and excitement. This was the result he was looking for! He was trying to create a potion that could paralyze someone, but it was hard to find knowledge about it in the academy despite the academy having tons of books on alchemy.

Liam turned to face the red potion on the table that was also releasing miniscule amounts of red smoke through the bubbles at the top. He let the red smoke enter his body and waited to see the results.

In just as quick as the green potion, the red smoke built up in his paralyzed left arm and in around 30 seconds, Liam gained partial control over his left arm again.

"Excellent! Although, the time it takes to cure the paralysis is a little too long. I should probably fix that." Liam said as he wrote stuff down on a sheet of paper. Every now and then, Liam would conduct these experiments with potions to see the results. He made these potions just in case he was fighting a monster that could use these effects on it's enemies.

"The only problem now is that I don't have a spatial ring..." This was Liam's only problem at this point. He already figured out how to create his desired potions, now he just needed a way to store them as it wouldn't be possible to hide them on his body in case they broke.

"Hmm... I'll think about this tomorrow..." Liam said before putting the sheet of paper and potions away. It would be terrible if someone besides him found the potions.

--The next morning--

Liam woke up in a less-grumpy-than-usual state. The first thing he noticed was that there was no noise coming from the dorm next to his so a smile formed on his face. He took multiple showers, brushed his teeth multiple times and put on deodorant and cologne then put his clothes on.

"Let's hope I that today I don't die...again" Liam said as he stretched and did a few pathetic jumping jacks. Liam was beyond not in shape, the only reason he was able to fight against the Sun Crow was thanks to his above average mana pool.

'Okay, let's go!' Liam said before unlocked the door and walking out of the door, although 4 people were waiting for him outside that surprised him.
