"T-The slime! It immediately died, didn't it? Oh my god? Who unleashed such a powerful attack!"
"Maybe it was an art? There's no way freshmen like us can get ahold of such a powerful skill that can do such damage."
"There's no way it can be an art, unless someone is from a clan?"
"Who knows? At least we can all focus on the other slime now that this one's dead. I'll definitely not go around arrogant in front of anyone anymore that's for sure."
"Hopefully I can reap some rewards from the already injured slime!"
"It's a pity, the core of this slime was immediately turned into dust..."
Some students were amazed, some shocked, and some disappointed at not being able to do any damage to the slime before it died.
The students quickly focused on the other injured slime and began casting their strongest skills and spells at it, hoping to gain some experience from damaging it.
...
"Hahaha with these golems near me, you won't be able to kill me!" Mr Bonzly said as a line of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He had scratches here and there but for the most part, he still looked capable of fighting.
"Tell me why you're here before you die," Killian said in a deadpan tone with a cold glare. He wasn't mad, only annoyed that someone infiltrated his academy and dared to put his students in danger. Although his actions show that he doesn't care for the students of the academy, he does.
"I thought you said you were just going to kill me? Why ask now?" Mr Bonzly said as he wiped the blood from his mouth and dashed at Killian along with his golems. As he met with Killian, he and his golems punched with incredible force. He knew he didn't have the luxury of holding an attack so he immediately did a 360 and hit Killian with an ax-kick that looked like a tree flying downward.
"Hmph." Killian simply grunted before slamming his fists against Mr Bonzly's leg. Thanks to the enhancements on his body, Mr Bonzly only fractured his leg after getting hit instead of it being broken.
He quickly gained distance while embarrassingly hopping on one foot, though, he seemed more focused on keeping his life rather than his pride.
"I knew it was a bad idea going after the kid. We already kicked him out of the clan but the leader wanted to eliminate him completely. He knew the power of the principal yet he still sent me, someone with little experience in close-combat." Mr Bonzly said as he gnashed his teeth. The power of the principal was no joke.
The only advantage he had over the principal was...nothing. He couldn't even match him in terms of speed!
"Golems! In front of me." The golems hurried to Mr Bonzly's side and stayed in front of him with their fists crossed together. The golems were the size of 2 refrigerators and had chunky arms made of rocks and dirt with a little bit of acid mixed in.
Depending on the area, a golems power will be enhanced, and since the golems were summoned in the slimes' area, acid was used to create the golems as well.
Mr Bonzly rushed at Killian, only for him to suddenly disappear. He suddenly heard a cold voice from behind him that sent shivers down his spine.
"I've heard enough." Before he could even turn around, he felt as if he was being crushed by a mountain that's weight didn't seem to stop increasing. He now realized how foolish he was leaving his back wide open.
'D-Damnit! Why didn't I pay attention! This principal surpasses me in speed also which means I should've stayed in between both the golems so that both my front and back were protected!' Mr Bonzly was on the verge of dying just from the sheer impact of the attack.
He was sent flying along with the golems that could only helplessly crash into the ground. Mr Bonzly immediately coughed up 2 mouthfuls of blood as he glared at Killian with incredible killing intent. It was like he was looking at the person who killed his family.
"Now that you've carelessly told me why you're here, you're no longer needed. I'll take it from here." Killian said as his leg swiftly descended on Mr Bonzly's chest, going almost completely through his body. Killian made sure he died by aiming at his heart, intending to kill him swiftly and without the chance to retaliate in the slightest.
"Now that this is wrapped up, I should go watch the battle between the Slime King and the students and teachers and assist them if need be. Killian said as he took off his shoe and cleaned it with a handkerchief from who knows where while walking through the forest.
...
"It looks like it's almost dead! Don't let up on it, keep attacking!"
"I'm running out of mana! Does anyone have a spare mana crystal? I'll compensate you after we defeat the slime!"
"Hurry and kill it! I wanna go back to my dorm!"
"I feel like passing out. Anybody have a spare mana crystal?"
"I'm almost out of mana! Hopefully I managed to do some damage to the slime!"
"I hope we all don't run out of mana before we kill this slime!"
"Die for me slime! I'll be the one to reap the most rewards from this raid!"
Some students were haughtily laughing while some were looking and asking around with sweat-drenched faces. It looked like the students with bigger mana pools would indeed reap the most rewards as they were capable of unleashing more skills and spells.
Meanwhile, Yoru was focused on feeding Angeline a Clumerika Potion. He was extremely mad at the students because of their impulsiveness and carelessness but he also couldn't fully blame them. Since he had met Angeline back when he was a sophomore, she had always put everyone before herself. She always wanted to protect people, even when she didn't have the power to, which is why he always admired her.
He sighed as he waited patiently for Angeline to wake up.
"Just one more final push! We can do this! We don't need the teachers' help!"
"Unleash your strongest attacks, everyone!"
The slimes injuries slowly piled up and eventually it was on the verge of death. Since so many attacks were sent flying, the slime was never given the chance to heal at all. Even absorbing the acid around it didn't do much and eventually, there was no more.
The slime began furiously dodging the attacks as its life depended on it but it didn't do any good as more than 10 attacks managed to hit the slime. Finally killing it.
A window appeared in front of everyone involuntarily participating in the raid.
[Raid successfully completed!]
[2 Slime King's SEMI-BOSS we're killed.]
Everyone looked at the additional windows in front of them, containing the percentage they contributed during the raid. Some were happy, some were sad. Liam looked at the window in front of him, not surprised, but still extremely happy.
[Raid successfully completed.]
[Your contribution: 78%]
[You killed 1 Slime King SEMI-BOSS. +329 Experience.]
['99x Experience Multiplier' has been activated. Calculating total experience...]
[+32,571 Experience.]
[Rewards gained from the raid: 151 Experience, Ring of Plague.]
['99x Experience Multiplier' has been activated. Calculating total experience...]
[+14,949 Experience.]
Although Liam thought he could handle it, when he read the messages on the windows, his vision became hazy and his breathing became ragged as he dropped to the ground. He immediately vomited before his vision slowly stabilized. He could feel his heart beating louder than before, in fact, when he was level 4 he was just barely able to hear it but now, it's like a drum in his ears.
He looked down at his hands as sweat rolled down his forehead. He could feel the power surging through every inch of his body, making him want to shout. He could feel a grin unconsciously forming on his face as he looked at his status screen.
