Chereads / The Heir of Deaths Throne / Chapter 3 - A New Me and My Revenge Plan

Chapter 3 - A New Me and My Revenge Plan

Though the darkness still surrounded me, I could feel myself being lowered into what I could only assume was my new body.

It felt cold but as I completely merged into the framework I started to notice the change, the cold feeling disappeared and I felt a flood of overwhelmingly new information filling my mind.

When it was all over, I knew things my 8-year-old self couldn't even begin to comprehend; let alone even imagine. I knew beforehand that I'd become a skeletal lich, but now it felt only natural and the power I felt was unbelievable.

I was eager to slay the first Goblin I saw, to quell their putrid race off the face of Gaia, but now I was calm, I didn't want to die by being overwhelmed by them in their territory giving them the home advantage.

I need a plan and I need an accomplishment, as I recalled a possible ally I began to come up with ways for her to willingly betray her Kin. For now, all I must do is simply wake up and make these Green Potbellied Degenerates pay 100-fold for my suffering and all those here, though my rage has dimmed the 'Fire' had not gone OUT!

My glowing eyes burst forth with power bringing vision back to my hollow sockets as I glanced at the cavern ceiling above me.

"Eeep!" *Thud*

I gazed to my right and recognized a familiar face, It was the Shaman Goblin Girl, just the person I needed for my plans.

I looked around and already could see I wasn't in the Captive Den anymore, I was surrounded by skeletal furniture and totems made from the victims and animals slain by the Goblins here.

I could sense the Shaman girl was staring at me with fear but I could also sense a glimmer of reverence toward me in her gaze, I paid her very little attention for the moment to inspect my new body.

As I sat up, I felt as if chunks of my old skin and flesh peeling and tearing off my now obsidian-colored bones, as well as my old blood and brain matter trickling out of my skull, I glanced down to help hasten the process and saw my inactive organs push aside my abdomen muscles like paper, rolling out on the cavern floor.

Before I would have screamed in absolute shock and crazed horror watching myself falling apart in a pool of my flesh, guts, and blood. But now I felt nothing toward the sight of gore anymore, I just simply began scrapping off the remaining pieces of flesh and clinging innards on my bones.

When I finished cleaning my skeletal body I stood up and stared down at the Goblin girl, she had remained silent while still sitting on her rear watching me the whole time.

As if finally noticing my gaze directed at her, she frantically kowtow before me at a respectful distance before she began to speak.

"Oh Mighty Lord of Undead, I beseech you. I Mylan, Shaman of this debacle of a tribe begs for his Unholiness for his forgiveness!"

"I tried warning my Chieftain and kinsmen that you weren't an entity to be trifled with when you still inhabited your Human Vessel, but none heeded my words. I ask that you only remember the kindness and care I gave to your Vessel and my assistance in giving you my Mid-grade Necromancy Gem to recover your losses, So please spare us!!!"

I expected much, but with the knowledge I have now, I understood that if not for her gem it might have taken decades before I gathered enough death essences to awaken my Death System since I could only collect them after I died.

This rule applies to certain types of superior Undead who inhabited living Vessels, but unlike me, they can gather essence because they were undead to begin with, while I was still living and knew nothing.

She likely used Magic Detection on my group and spotted me amongst the crowd and being a Skeletal Shaman saw the Death Seed in me (the Death System) an Undead incubating in its vessel.

"You seek to curry favor from me, through your past kindness I'd be obliged, yet to spare your unworthy degenerate tribe, I cannot."

My voice sounded grim and firm, showing her my stance on the matter, I still sounded like a mere child but it made sense due to my short appearance.

I was a 3'11ft tall Void Lich, I may not look all too intimidating but with my power these Goblins are ants, but even ants can kill a single enemy with sheer numbers.

"I will spare you and if there are Goblins under your charge I'll spare them too. Know this, I will kill your Kinsmen Mylan and you will help me do so, If you comply with my plans, in return I'll grant the honor of making you my disciple."

Mylan's Eyes widened in disbelief as if I could see her heart waver at the mention of being a student of a Lich, this alone was far too enticing for a Dark Arts user such as herself.

Unlike the Light Magic users who take in multiple students Sharing their knowledge willingly, we of the Dark Arts hoard it close to our hearts and only take on students to complete our unfinished work.

But Lichs were different, we rather die than let our knowledge be taken from us, and this knowledge is known well by all.

To make her my pawn and maximize the suffering of her tribe, I care not for the knowledge I wield to become another's power, to wipe away these filthy memories and replace them with a chorus of mutilated Goblins; I care not for what secret's I most rival to get my sweet Revenge!

"If you doubt me, then this should clear all suspicion"

With a wave of my hand a Violet Pentagram appeared and from it what emerged was a parchment made from my very own skin on the floor beside me.

"An Undead Contract binds the caster and the other party to the rules and conditions written and agreed upon by both parties, failure to uphold the terms is punishable by the agreed upon punishment, Etc, Etc... So what say you?"

Hearing this Mylan froze, she had a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a Lich true disciple with no strings attached, but could she sell out her kin?

Of course, she would!!!

"Though I've been spared alongside my fellow sisters from becoming sows for the tribe due to our father being the Chief, we are only seen as useful for keeping the female captives alive and continue to breed more Goblins for the horde."

"If not for these contributions alone, even our father would have his way with us before giving us to our many brothers and nephews. I accepted your bargain Lord Undead, in return for the destruction of my tribe and the salvation of my sisters, I ask for nothing more and wish to be your disciple."

Mylan's acceptance when seeing and hearing about the contract was expected, hearing about her sisters having Magical prowess and also feeling threatened by their kin was a plus.

But hearing them all being related to the progenitor of this horde was a BONUS!

With a nod, I gave out my order.

"Rise Soon to be disciple, first gather your sisters in private and inform them of our dealings. Once they have been informed bring them here so I may relay my plans to you all, Understood?"

"I understand Master"

And with that said, she departed off to find her sister and with her gone, I not only modified my revenge plan but began Phase Two.

"Summon Empowered Undead Soldiers."
