Being there was a new man in the room Shelby was getting excited and started to talk.
"So which one of you is the oldest?"
None of the boys answered. Alex looked at them then back at Shelby. "My eldest Sabastion is twenty-nine, Nathaniel is twenty-seven, and my youngest Johnathan is twenty-five."
"Wow all two years apart." Tasha said trying to sound interested, hoping her husband wasn't gonna cause a big scene.
Shelby bit her lip as she stared at the boys being in no way secretive. Yet not one of them looked into her direction.
Finally Johnathan did. "Your father has an anger issue doesn't he?"
Tasha and Shelby both turned around to see James yelling at Angela. To far away to make out the words, but definitely yelling. Shelby turned back in her chair and said.
"Oh her shes just trouble believe me."
Johnathan went back to staring. Once James realized all eyes were on him he calmed down. Him and Angela both came back to the room. James sat down an apologized so did Angela. Drinks were sat down and all Angela wanted to do was leave.
"Will that be all?"
"Yes." James snapped causing all eyes to return back to him.
"Actually if you don't mind staying I have a few questions." Alex said sounding annoyed as he set down his glass.
Angela looking frightened looked at Alex to James back to Alex. "Alright Alexander if you insist." Angela said as she hoped it would not get her into trouble.
Alex nodded to a chair insisting she sat down. As she was Bout to refuse Johnathan pulled out a seat. She was screwed she had to make a decision sit down and make James angry, or risk it and leave. She made the decision to sit down.
"Alexander may I ask the meaning of this?" Tasha asked hoping there wouldn't be war, but Alex did not look at Tasha nor did he respond.
"Are you okay?" Is all Alex said as he stared right at Angela.
Angela knew her face had been red, but begged and prayed nobody would say anything. Guess her prayers were even ignored. All eyes were on her. How could she salvage the situation?
"Yes Alexander I'm fine." She could tell not a single person believed her.
"You don't have to lie to me. I can fix it." Alex said looking how Sabastion did minutes ago sad, so incredibly sad.
She fought back the tears, but it was trying to run up a hill that was covered in ice useless and painful. She couldn't help look at Sabastion as the tears rolled down her face. Not even the billionaire Alexander Nite could fix this one. Looking down to hide some of the tears.
James sat in the corner pondering on how he could make this better for himself. Only one way he could think to get out of it in one piece and still make a partnership with Alex.
"Did he do something to you?" James tried comforting Angela.
"Huh?" Everyone said in unison.
"My best employee didn't start crying or looking like she was crying until your son and her talked together."
Instead of Alex defending his son Johnathan spoke out. "Well maybe if you had treated her like your best employee she wouldn't be crying."
Johnathan, Nathaniel, Tasha, and James got into a heavy argument while Sabastion, Angela, Alexander, Shelby, and Brice stayed out of it. At some point enough became enough and Alexander not even raising his voice told everyone to stop. Like magic they all shutup.
"I do not believe my son did anything wrong, but if he did I will be the first to apologize."
"Father I didn't...."
James tried to cut off Sabastion only to see Alex's hands go up. "Enough all of you she's the one crying so we, I will ask her. Go ahead you are free to talk nobody will intrupt you."
It didn't matter that Alex cut James off. James knew as long as Angela wanted to keep her job she would listen to him. Angela stayed silent she knew what the right and the wrong was, but why did the thought of saying the right thing hurt so much? She looked at James, but then back at Sabastion she mouthed I'm sorry to him and he smiled. Angela stood up and smacked her hand hard onto the table knowing she only had one shot she went all out.
"Alexander your son didn't do anything wrong!" As she looked at him she could feel the table move as James started to stand up. She whipped her head towards him instead. "James sit down." She said this with a growl in her voice, the walls weren't thick so everyone was shocked. Nobody stood up to James like that. "James it is you, it is always you." She said in a calm yet stern voice.
Nathaniel reached for her hand to touch her, but she had enough of him to. She pushed his hand out of the way and ran so fast out the door that nobody had the chance to stop her.
There was no controling James now he was floored. He stood up despite everything Tasha did to stop him and stormed out to follow Angela, but this time was different. Everyone was already looking, already the damage was done. So what was the point? He screamed for Angela, but she wouldn't listen. It had seemed the more he screamed the less she cared. He finally caught up to her and yanked her arm to face him.
"Let me go!"
"Do you think this is some game? This is my life and your ruining it."
"I'm ruining your life?" Angela laughed as he continued his force on her arm. She caught her breathe and yelled "I'M RUINING YOUR LIFE THEN JUST FUCKING FIRE ME THEN SEE WHAT HAPPENS!"
James never hit her in public. He mentally abused her, and her arm was sore most nights, but he never hit her for the world to see. She didn't have enough time to prepare as his hand flew across her face. It sent her to the floor. He grabbed the front of her shirt to lift her up when she fell back down. She looked up to see Sabastion standing by James who also went flying to the floor.
Nathaniel came running up to Angela and put his hand out, but she did not take it. Instead to tired to stop the tears got up and cried just asking everyone to stop it. Sabastion turned to her eyes of confusion, but it wasn't long before she bolted to the door and took off.
