My name is Alexander Gregory. I am 17 years old....or I was 17 years old, because I'm dead now. Let me tell you how this all happened.
20 minutes earlier
Alex: Alright mom, I understand. I'll be careful.
Mom: Now that's what I want to hear! Bye I love you~
Alex: I love you too, mom, bye now.
Alex leaves the house and is now on his way to school. Alex is a 17 year old boy, with brown hair that reaches around his neck in the back, and stops just before his eyebrows in the front. Standing at 182 cm, with an athletic build and handsome face.
Alex: Oh shoot! I forgot to eat breakfast!
Alex runs back home to quickly get something to eat before he heads to school. Alex checks his watch to see the time and see's it is 7:50.
Alex: 'This is bad, school starts in 25 minutes! If I'm lucky, I might make it there just when class is about to start.'
Alex quickly gets to the door, taking his key out of his pocket to quickly unlock the door. He puts the key in the hole, unlocks it and twists the doorknob.
Mom: Back so soon?
Alex: I forgot to eat breakfast so I came to grab something real quick.
Mom: Well you better hurry because your class will start in 20 minutes.
Alex: What!? It took me 5 minutes to get back home? Forget it..
Alex quickly goes to the pantry and grabs a granola bar and runs back out the door not even locking it. His mom looks at the door while narrowing her eyes.
Mom: Oh I'll get him for sure.
She then goes to the living room to watch TV.
Back to Alex
Alex: 'What was I thinking, I barely have any time now.'
Alex is running full speed to get to his school on time while taking small bites oh his granola bar. Alex keeps running and finds a street. Not bothering to look both ways, he runs. While running across the street, he hears a honk.
*HHOOOOONNNNNKKKK*
Alex quickly turns his head and see's a truck speeding towards him.
Alex: 'Oh no, why is this happening...'
Alex runs right in front of the truck not stopping in time.
*BAM*
Alex gets hit by the truck and gets sent flying 5 meters ahead of the truck.
Alex: 'Why Truck-kun, why? Isn't this a bit too cliché?'
Alex is on the ground bleeding out on the verge of death.
The truck driver gets out his truck dialing 911 on his phone.
Truck driver: Oh no, I'm going to jail...
The truck driver quickly runs to the bleeding out Alex.
Truck driver: Oi kid, please stay with me! Now is not the time to go! Just focus on me and breathe slowly, all right?
Alex: am...am I....going to....die..?
Alex asks the truck driver while tearing up a little because of the pain and because he doesn't want to leave his mother behind all alone.
Alex: mom...please....I don't wanna...go yet...
The truck driver is currently talking to the police about what has happened. He keeps his phone on the call because they told him to just in case the situation worsens.
Truck driver: Oh no, I don't know what to do....I need to stay calm..
Alex looks at the man, and smiles because of unknown reasons.
Alex: hey...if you...ever see my mom.....could you tell her...I love her...please...
Truck driver: Hey kid, don't talk like you're going to die alright? Just stop talking so you don't run out of air or something. I should've listened when I was in school, I would have known what to do in this situation. I'm such a disappointment.
The truck driver sighs while saying this. Alex just looks up at him and slowly closes his eyes as he is losing a lot of blood. He smiles once more thinking of his mother and all the good times he's had with her.
Alex: 'Goodbye mom, and I'm sorry I couldn't hold on any longer.'
Alex lays there while the sirens of police cars and ambulances ring in his ears for the final breath he will take on Earth.
