"I guess I didn't tell you I played baseball in school," Selena retorts with a smirk on her face, "Was a pretty good thrower. Could probably hit a dirty bird from miles away."
A slight smile spreads across Cathy's lips. Grateful for what Selena has just done for her. Although she's still sad over the state of her affairs, she's grateful that she's here.
Selena notices as the slight smile on Cathy's face starts to wear off.
"Honey, why so glum? I just took out a dirty bird for you. And I didn't need to stretch my hand that far," she says.
Cathy tries to force a laugh but can't. She tries to stay strong and hide her sadness but can't. The essence of vulnerability has enveloped her. Soon, tears trickle down her face.
Selena looks at her worryingly, just about sure of what's troubling her friend, "Luigi?" she inquires.
Cathy nods as she wipes her tears.
