The guard stops dead in his tracks. Under his grasp, Cathy can feel the room's temperature spike with the heat of the tension.
The guard moves the gun closer, pressing it against Cathy's head.
"Drop the weapon now!" Orders Detective Bianchi.
"Why don't you move away or I will shoot," argues the guard.
Cathy squirms in his grasp, trying to free herself as tears sting into her eyes, "Laura, please. Please help me," she cries out.
"Shut up!" yells the guard, tightening his grip on Cathy, "Now let me tell you how this goes," he orders, "I'll be going downstairs with this fucking bitch and if you follow..."
Detective Bianchi's pistol goes off, firing a bullet straight into the guard's forehead. He falls to the floor and blood starts spilling out of his frontal lobe like a fountain.
