Brandon Piers didn't take it to heart and didn't feel the need to explain.

At dinner, Elder Piers suddenly looked at his grandson halfway through the meal. "Brandon, you're getting engaged in June. Why not have the wedding at the same time? It'll be convenient."
"No need." Brandon took a bite of spinach, scanned the dining table with his chopsticks, looked at the bitter gourd beside his hand, and finally fixed his gaze on the lily and snow fungus porridge in front of him, frowning slightly.
Hearing this, Elder Piers paused. "Then reconsider my last suggestion of bringing Ruby Green over to take care of the child."
"Not necessary."
Brandon's response was harsh without room for negotiation. Elder Piers took a deep breath. "Then eat more vegetables. This bitter gourd is good for clearing heat and lowering fire."
