Abigail was very frustrated, genuinely frustrated.
They were clearly second-year students already, so why were they so naive?
No, it wasn't that second-year students were naive, it was just her group that was naive.
Abigail seriously looked at Ralf. "Why did you study medicine?"
Ralf finally turned his dark face back, looking at Abigail with a simple and honest expression, completely devoid of any previous preacher-like demeanor. "Because my dad said studying medicine is good. You can treat illnesses, save people, and make money."
Abigail gave a thumbs up. "Your dad is right." She then looked at Wilson. "Why did you study medicine?"
"My grandfather was the barefoot doctor in our village. He passed away three years ago, and the village has had no doctor since. My dad decided I should study medicine and return to the village to continue my grandfather's work," Wilson answered seriously and solemnly.
"How dutiful." Abigail sighed, then turned to Lena. "What about you?"
