Abigail was stunned by Grandpa's scolding. She finally realized what she had said, her face suddenly turning red. She then heard the tall man beside her laugh heartily, his chest vibrating with unrestrained mirth.
"You... stop laughing!" Abigail glared at Brandon Piers in exasperation.
"Okay, I won't laugh." Although Brandon said this, the smile on his face didn't diminish at all.
Seeing his smiling face, Abigail became both angry and embarrassed. She bumped into him out of frustration. Unexpectedly, Brandon opened his arms and encircled her, softly coaxing, "Alright, if you keep fooling around, you'll be late."
"Hmph." Abigail pouted and struggled out of Brandon's embrace. Catching sight of her grandfather's sour expression, she realized what she had just done and felt so embarrassed that she wanted to find a hole to hide in.
Grandpa saw this and cursed angrily, "Blinded by infatuation."
