On a September deep night, Abigail almost spontaneously combusted.
Returning to Moon Lake Manor, Abigail ignored Brandon Piers. She got out of the car and quickly ran back to her room to take a hot shower. After changing her clothes, she finally felt a bit calmer.
Just after blow-drying her hair, she saw her phone light up. It was a message from Brandon: "Come to the dining room."
Abigail thought for a moment, went to the nursery room to check on Teddy, and found the little guy and Aunt Claudia sleeping well. Only then did she quietly go downstairs.
It was already past midnight. The servants had gone back to their quarters, and the main house was extraordinarily quiet under the night sky.
Abigail hadn't even reached the kitchen when she smelled an enticing aroma. Her eyes widened. Was he cooking?
This thought popped up, but Abigail immediately dismissed it. How could someone as refined as Brandon Piers be cooking?
