Brandon Piers scanned the large crowd in the auditorium and finally fixed his gaze in Abigail Green's direction with a slight smile on his lips.
Lena Locke's mouth dropped open. "Did you see that? Brandon just smiled at us. My God, he's truly the most beautiful person in Swallow City. I think he's even more beautiful than Bertha Swift. It's deadly for a man to be this good-looking."
"I agree," Sophie Hope, who was considered a department beauty, also had to admit she couldn't surpass a man in looks.
Abigail was puzzled. "Bertha Swift, the actress?"
"You don't know? I'm almost forgetting you're from Gills City. Bertha Swift is a year above us, a genuine socialite. She was voted the first beauty in Swallow City last year and is also the campus queen of the School of Medicine." Lena turned towards Sophie with a chuckle, "But I think our Sophie is more beautiful."
"Flattering?" Sophie scoffed.
