Abigail Green stared blankly at the person in front of her, clearly not expecting him to nod.
"Then why did you... Forget it, Dr. Smith is no longer here. Asking these questions is meaningless. If Dean Foster has no other matters, may I leave? My fiancé is still waiting for me." Abigail wanted to ask. Since he knew everything, why did he treat her that way?
In the end, she decided to give up. What was the point of asking? It would only add to her sadness and make her seem even more ridiculous.
She felt a bit relieved that she did not soften her stance earlier.
"Miss Green, I... It's not what you think." Jeffrey Foster felt that Abigail misunderstood him and wanted to explain, but found himself at a loss for words. Anything he said seemed powerless and pale.
"Dean Foster, there's no need to explain to me." Abigail looked at the person in front of her. Her gaze was clear and calm. After speaking, she waved her hand. "Goodbye."
