She felt tired. Her relationship with her grandpa was like a dead-end cycle. She could feel his love, but she was also weary of his despotism and irritability.
She couldn't bear to leave, but also wanted to escape.

"What are you thinking about?" Brandon Piers saw Abigail slumped in the car and reached out to poke her cheek.
Abigail was dissatisfied, "Can't you poke somewhere else?"
