Abigail only realized what Brandon had said after she grunted in acknowledgement.
Going back to Swallow City?
Even though she had known they were going back to Swallow City, it was only when they were almost ready to leave that she realized there were still many things to handle.
"We'll leave in five days. If you have anything to take care of these days, do it now. If you can't finish, don't worry about it. We'll be back to see Grandfather during the New Year." Brandon saw her concern and reminded her.
"Grandfather isn't coming with us?" Abigail was surprised.
"The situation over there is complicated. Grandfather is getting old; it's better to let him enjoy his peace here than risk his health over there." Brandon's reply was indifferent.
Abigail glanced at him. "If Grandfather heard that, he would be furious."
"Then you'd be underestimating Grandfather. If something like that could anger him, he wouldn't have lived this long," Brandon teased.
