Ruby Green and the three others were taken to the airport police station. On the way, they saw a news report on the big screen. A stone bridge near the International Hospital had been bombed. A black sedan had plunged into the river. Currently, the police and fire department were working together to salvage the vehicle. The chances of survival for those inside were slim.
This news made Ruby think of a possibility, and she couldn't help but hope. Just then, one of the arresting officers whispered, "I heard the one who fell was Master Brandon Piers' fiancée. Even the Special Forces' Luke Scout was brought in by him."
"Yeah, it doesn't look like an accident. Piers must have offended someone," another officer responded.
Ruby's swollen face turned into a fit of uncontrollable laughter, "Ha ha ha, karma, karma!"
Ruby's face, already swollen like a pig's head, became even more grotesque and terrifying as she laughed maniacally. But she couldn't control herself.
