The examination finished. Abigail, tidily dressed, came outside and saw the man pacing back and forth. Looking at Pullan, she asked, "What's wrong with him?"
Pullan shook his head.
At this moment, Brandon Piers heard the noise and suddenly turned to look at Abigail. His pair of amber, slender eyes fixedly stared at her as if he wanted to see through to her bones.
Abigail instinctively lowered her head to look at herself but found nothing wrong. She wondered what was going on with this man.
Out of nowhere, Brandon Piers suddenly stepped forward quickly and pulled her into his arms.
The cool scent belonging to Brandon Piers instantly filled Abigail's nostrils, making her body stiffen. Her hands were in the air, and her head was pressed against the man's chest. She lifted her head in confusion.
Her mind was blank.
