Abigail picked up the little guy to soothe him. The baby was obviously hungry, and she put his little hand in his mouth to comfort him. He started sucking noisily.
Only then did Abigail turn to look at Brandon Piers. "Why don't you hide?" she asked.
Brandon shot her a cold glance, opened the door, and walked out.
Kelly, who was knocking on the door, stammered, "S-Sir?"
She thought she was seeing things.
Brandon nodded slightly, walking toward his room with an expressionless face.
Kelly looked back at his retreating figure, then at Abigail holding the baby. "Why is he here?"
"To see the baby, I guess."
"But the door? Why was it locked?" Kelly wondered.
Abigail looked confused. "Is it broken?"
"I don't think so." Kelly tried with a key. Because the baby was inside, Kelly had kept a key with her to avoid loud knocking at night.
"Feed the baby first," Abigail urged.
