Brandon Piers left the nursery and immediately sensed the strange atmosphere in the old mansion.
There was an eerie silence, even the creak of Teddy's cradle near the balcony stood out clearly.
He glanced at the time. It was five ten in the afternoon, the busiest time for the old mansion.
Brandon's handsome eyebrows slightly furrowed as he looked around. His thin lips parted, "Pullan."
"Master Brandon, I'm here." Pullan's response was unexpectedly quick. No one knew where he came from, standing on the first floor and poking his head out to answer loudly.
And then Brandon noticed that after Pullan's shout, the old mansion seemed like an old machine suddenly powered on again.
The servants began to busy themselves, the stillness he felt earlier now seemed like just an illusion.
Brandon's frown deepened as he looked at Pullan, "Come to the study."
Three minutes later.
