She had just spoken spitefully, yet she understood this young master's methods. Her forehead was now covered with a thin layer of sweat.
Abigail cast a reproachful glance at Brandon Piers.
Brandon gave Kelly a cold, haughty look. "Watch your words in the future."
"Yes, yes, yes," Kelly answered, trembling.
"Leave us." Brandon waved his hand. After Kelly left, he stared at Abigail with his charming eyes. "Disgusted with me?"
"How would I dare?" Abigail smiled. Others might not understand Brandon Piers's state of mind, but she certainly did.
Brandon raised an eyebrow. Was there anything she wouldn't dare do?
"The Green and Stone families have announced their engagement," Brandon said without dwelling on some questions. He watched Abigail carefully to gauge her reaction.
