Abigail was eating lunch in the afternoon when she noticed everyone's eyes on her were extremely peculiar.
There was envy mixed with sympathy, and sympathy mixed with pity.
Especially Pullan, who kept sighing when he saw her.
Abigail felt her whole body's hair stand on end.
At night, she found an opportunity to pull Kelly over and quietly asked, "What's going on with everyone? Why are they looking at me so strangely?"
Kelly also sighed, "You don't know yet?"
"Know what?" After breakfast, she had been busy taking care of Teddy and hadn't even gone downstairs. Both lunch and dinner were eaten in the second-floor dining room. In the past few days, the little guy had learned a new trick and started to roll over. But he was too weak, so he would arch to the edge but not flip over completely. Someone had to watch him all the time.
She and Kelly took turns watching him.
But the little guy relied on her more, so she kept watch for longer periods.
