When they arrived at the hospital, after a round of "rescue" efforts, Brandon Piers was sent back to his room.
Abigail glanced at the room she had left in disarray, awkwardly touching her nose. "Um... Should I tidy it up for you?"
"No need. This is your reward for saving my life." Brandon leaned against the hospital bed, looking at the torn quilt. He endured the discomfort while shaking his half-ripped pants leg. "This is just fine."
Abigail gave the man a meaningful look. "Really?"
"Really." Brandon, wanting to tease Abigail and back up his own words, forced himself to finish speaking even though he had a bad feeling.
Sure enough, he watched as Abigail yanked at the wedding dress and, with force, pried off the central pink diamond.
That wasn't all. Abigail, having removed the pink diamond, casually tugged the same-colored bow at her waist to the side, making one big and one small bow.
