Abigail immediately dismissed her thoughts.
But if Brandon wasn't interested in Ruby, could it really be that Teddy just needed a mother?
Or was there a deeper reason?
Abigail couldn't figure it out and decided not to think deeply about it. After listening to Elder Piers, she changed the subject. "Grandfather Piers, may I visit the second young master tomorrow morning?"
"Of course you can. I'll have the driver take you there in the morning." Elder Piers didn't think much of it. It was reasonable for Abigail to check on Brandon after she closed his chest wound.
After receiving confirmation, Abigail thanked him and returned to the nursery.
Teddy, though not startled today, had been tossed around all day, crying and fussing, clingy as ever. Abigail and Kelly took turns staying with him all night, and it wasn't until five in the morning that he finally fell into a deep sleep.
