Rivan was still watching yet another murder occur with his now blue ocean eyes, when he heard a knock on the door. He did not have to ask who it was and simply claimed.
"You may come in."
Click
The door opened revealing the gray bird servant. Nile bowed slightly even though Rivan was not facing him.
The Duke has closed his eyes in order to focus on the murder scene. His indifferent expression could not be mistakenly unseen by the servant.
Nile did not mind the lack of attention and spoke his part.
"Master Rivan, the closest date to meet with the Earl would be in four days."
Rivan leaned back, relaxing in his seat and nodded. It was a sing for Nile to proceed speaking as he was listening.
"The Earl will be accepting meetings with underworld merchants after four days. After contacting his assistance, Earl Arinton seems interested in meeting Master Rivan. The meeting wouldn't be official. Thus, we shall go undercover."
"Two days."
Said Rivan while still not looking towards Nile.
"It shouldn't take long to receive the needed information from Johan Lauzin."
Nile fidgeted at the mention of the underworld's Merchant's name. His glace was sharp, almost unpleasant.
That could be explained as that Nile was not fond of Johan. He saw the merchant as a rude arrogant person, unworthy of speaking to his Master. The words of having Rivan's eyes as a pay in a deal have never failed to crook a frown on Nile's youthful face. The gray bird would dare to think that he wants to finish Johan Lauzin in order to make him regret his rudeness.
Nile was brought back from his vicious thoughts by Rivan's voice.
"And after two days, Duke Whishipper will leave the Southeast."
Their needed information would be received information would be received in maximum of two days. And the Duke, whose name has been heard by all merchants to reach Johan Lauzin, would, as well, knowingly leave the Southeast area.
However, Rivan would still have to meet Earl Arintom personally after four days.
Nile understood the meaning behind Rivan's words.
"Understood."
Was all the Nile said before turning to leave.
The Duke would leave after two days. This would be the known fact for everyone who knew of his presence in the Southeast. That means whatever happens in the following days would not be connected to the already gone Duke.
Especially arranging a meeting with their target, Earl Arinton.
Nile smiled at those thoughts with pride clearly drawn on his face.
"Nile."
Called Rivan sharply, which made the servant turn his head fast towards him. The gray bird servant was faced by Rivan's wide ocean blue eyes. The clear blues were not focusing at him but at the butterfly still in his hand.
Rivan spoke sharply.
"Follow it and capture the Mercenary."
Hearing the clear orders, Nile's eyes widened as he broke into a crooked smile. His voice trembled with one clear thing. Excitement.
"As you wish, Master."
The blue butterfly flew toward the window followed by Nile. Before the servant could take his leave, he heard one last thing.
"Nile, I want him alive with his complete parts."
Nile did not answer. He simply smiled and jumped out of the window. Rivan was still sure the servant have heard his words.
In a small gesture of its wings, the blue butterfly's gentle fluttering became a rushing speed to reach out for their target. Nile was following behind it with barely hearable steps on the buildings. At their matching pace, Elora's butterfly and Nile took no time to stand before the 'Einid' servant.
Just as Nile's crazed gaze landed at the man walking back to the darkness, the gray bird landed quickly but quietly before him.
The servant have immediately took a defensive position.
Nile drew a polite smile on his face asked simply.
"A Mercenary?"
Flinch.
The servant flinched instantly. His body tensed and his his alert towards the odd High class servant rose. However, the words he spoke were calm and spoken with a steady voice.
aww
"I am in the midst of a mission and I have a client. I cannot assist you. Please head to the Mercenary's-"
"Oh but you have mistaken my intends."
The Mercenary was cut by Nile who was shaking his head in what seemed to be disapproval. Nile's bluish green eyes glowed in the pitch black night. There was no light that reflected on them. Yet they were glowing clearly and brightly with madness painted in them.
Nile started to speak casually to the Mercenary without any of his respectful servant's attitude. In fact, he was speaking yo himself more than the man before him.
"That merchant really got no my nerves with his rude attitude thinking he's on a high class and dare speak like that to Master. Haaaa."
Nile posed after letting out a deep sigh. The gray bird servant turned to look at the Mercenary. The latter who seemed confused was moving his hands slowly to reach for a weapon. The Mercenary watching the glowing eyes decided to open his mouth and ask carefully.
"Are you an assassin?"
He watched as Nile raised his eyebrows in surprise. The look was soon replaced with low laugh.
"That can't be. I'm not stealthy enough."
There was bitterness playing on Nile's voice speaking the last words. On the other hand, the Mercenary was left dumbfounded. Just remembering how Nile has landed before him with a inhuman stealth made him think the High class servant was lying.
That until he heard Nile calling.
"Elora. Don't let Master see this."
'There's two of them...?!'
The fact that there was another one as stealthy as the man before him made thw Mercenary more alerted than anything.
A women's sound was heard as she replied sharply.
"Remember the orders."
Nile grinned looking at the Mercenary disguised as a Servant.
"I'm not an assassin. Those kills calmly and neatly without a trace. If anything..."
Shing!
The Mercenary heard the sound of a weapon being pulled out and his dagger was already in front of his face with all intends to defend with it against...
"...Huh?"
The Mercenary was terribly confused. His mouth dropped open and his face paled. Was this just a nightmare? Is she just dreaming? What he's seeing was unreal.
There were short swords, no, they were blades in the shape of silver features. Each one was in the size of a half arm. And tens of them surrounded the Mercenary from all sides.
Behind the silver featured, a bluish glow turned into a crescent moon as Nile spoke crazily.
"If anything, I'm more like the psychos you deal with."
