'Einid' was the name the Mercenary had been using to deal with the psychos for quite the while. He had grown accustomed to the displeased tone they used to address him. Yet, as he heard the crazed whispering call with the blade to his throat, the pointed weapons he could feel against his legs and the tingling pain on both his arms, the Mercenary's pupils shook horrifyingly.
"Einid, Einid, Einid..."
Nile repeated the name, ringing it in the dead of the night, seeming as if it was the only sound in the existence. Then, he suddenly stopped with his lips rising along with his eyebrows. Nile drew a surprised expression and whispered in amused conclusion.
"Ha! It has no meaning!"
The Mercenary, who was pinned on the wall, averted his eyes to avoid making eye contact with the crazed servant. Nevertheless, a slim steady red string of blood oozed from the injury on his neck, caused by the gentle touch of a feather blade's sharp end. The clear threat made the Mercenary lift his head up. He was again met with Nile's uncontrollably crazed face.
The gray bird whispered, keeping the suffocating eye contact, with all the rising anticipation playing on the strings of his voice.
"Now...What is the best way to torture you without killing you? hmm? I'm certain you quite know the importance of working professionally, Einid."
The 'Einid' Mercenary was petrified.
Torture. The servant claimed his fun to be torturing him. Without harming his limbs nor his life, nonetheless, torturing him. The Mercenary recalled the unrealistic sharpness of the feather blades and colors escaped his complexion. Whatever the psycho servant was about to do to him was unnegotiable and, without doubt, severally much more painful than plain death.
The Mercenary swallowed down when Nile grabbed a feather blade and closed it to his right arm. The gray bird servant whispered with a shivering voice as if his whole body was trembling, yet, the movements of his hand was professionally steady.
"How about we make your arms match first? I will make the fitting holes here too."
Nile carelessly removed the clothes on the grabbed arm before the steady blade cut the right arm's flesh, slowly powering a small amount of blood. With the tingling pain, the Mercenary's instincts were to use his legs to kick the blade yet he would not favor losing the use of another vital limb. Thus, he chose to close his eyes shut. His leather armor had no affect from preventing the herculean strength on his arm and now that it had been bared, the bones were near crushing. His physique was nothing in comparison. Waiting was all he could do.
"Nile!"
Suddenly, a gentle call hissed a name from above the building the Mercenary was pinned to and the gray bird's movements froze instantly. Nile replied calmly, all sings of his previous trembling were nowhere to be heard.
"Elora, is something the matter?"
"Nile."
Nile straightened, moving from against the Mercenary without loosening the tight grip on his target's right arm. The disguised man flinched his closes eyes before slowly opening them. He was faced by the sight of the High class servant looking up at the peak of the building behind him. He was facing the 'women', the Mercenary concluded from the voice, who has called the former's name.
'Nile...'
The name of the psycho servant was already carved into his mind.
Nile had a collective calm expression as he spoke neutrally.
"I am following the orders thoughtfully as I believe. The target is alive. The limbs are attached and he is, as you can confirm, completely capable of speaking."
"Master was clear in his orders. Follow and capture. This target is not disposable."
Nile looked back at the 'Einid' servant with his calm expression shifting into a smirk in simulation.
"Hoh...?"
The pinned Mercenary flinched at the amusement playing on Nile's low gasp. There was a hint of his previous madness flickered in the piercing turquoises. However, Nile gazed back at who the Mercenary thought to be 'The inhumanly stealthy assassin'. The gentle voice spoke first.
"You have 10 seconds, Nile."
Shing!
The sentence was barely spoken completely before all the feather blades moved all at once.
"Ugh!"
The two feathers pinning the 'Einid' was pulled as well, leaving the holes in his arm to bleed in his grasp. Nile jumped several steps back and the blades rained at the injured Mercenary. The lartter widened his eyes before shutting them close.
'What happened to being a not disposable target?!'
"Sh*t!"
The Mercenary could not help but curse aloud. He is about to be murdered! Cut to shreds and chopped up by those blades! All his rationality was long gone when death was about to kiss his soul.
Shhhh-
Winds blew softly, embracing the Mercenary in a cold breeze. The man shivered ever so slightly.
'Shivered?'
The 'Einid' blinked his eyes open. Once. Twice. Thrice.
He was alive. Nothing had changed from seconds ago. He was still bleeding with a bruised arm, extending a hand to cover his injury. His heart was still beating loudly in his ears from the uncontrollable fear he felt. And his rushing adrenaline made his whole being tremble. Nonetheless, he was certainly alive.
"Huff. Huff. Huff."
The terrified man's breathes, who witnessed the nearing swipe of death, were rushing loudly. It took him a few more seconds to notice the sound of the whistling winds had not died out.
Shhhh-
The Mercenary focused his vision on his new surroundings. Gray. Large soft gray feathers captured folded on eatch other to capture him in a shell. There were barely seen openings for air and wind to enter, however they were more than enough for the injured man to conclude with complete certainty.
'I'm being taken to their boss...'
The relieve he felt from surviving the neared end was already gone, replaced by the tensing muscles in preparation for what would come.
'I probably can't do anything in the face of those inhumans' boss but I can't just die without resisting.'
Thud
The Mercenary felt his weight land gently on the ground before the gray feathers' curtain unwrapped. He could not help but squinch his eyes from the sudden rays of light that blinded his vision. The scenery has changed from the pitch black alley to a fairly well designed chamber, speaking of the expansion of its owner. It was not fancily exaggerated yet certainly not lacking the least. The surroundings were lightened by a lamb's low light that blinded him before he blinked in surprise.
"Hoh."
The honeyed voice gasped in light surprised before the pale moon lips rose in a cold smile.
The Mercenary was petrified. Next to the open window that he seemed to come from, seated on a wealthy chair with tens of glittering blue butterflies scattered around it, a youth with the palest white skin and the darkest night black hair, smiling under a pair of bright lime eyes. The cold gaze of that young man made the Mercenary recall how he was pinned with the feather blade earlier. The aura emitted from the youth was far more chilling than the blowing winds swaying the curtains, and much more deadly than the blades that rained on him.
The Mercenary was brought back from his endless staring at the grim figure when a person passed by him. It was the psycho High Class servant, Nile, who kidnapped him after trying to torture him. The man did not seem crazed no longer as he made his way in front of the black haired youth.
Nile bowed respectfully before informing with a calm voice.
"I have accomplished my command, Master."
'Master. That's the boss.'
Cold sweat broke on the Mercenary's neck , gazing nervously at the youth. The 'Master' have never moved his eyes away from him even when he replied, amused surprise clear in his words.
"Indeed you did. All his limbs are attached. I have to also praise Mr. Mercenary for managing to arrive in one piece."
'Sh*t!'
The Mercenary cursed when his he heard the vicious words.
'The boss is as crazy as that servant!'
