A A calm wind blew over the mansion's garden. An old man with simple griefing attire was standing near the Jasmines.
He couldn't help but feel they reminded him of the late Lady.
'Lady Rina would've loved the contrast between these gentle flowers and the sombre atmosphere of the funeral'
The old man who seemed to be the gardener thought with a sad smile upon the loss of Matinor city.
Aside from some individuals like Ms. June, all of the Lady's relatives were provocative fools. They've been waiting for her passing to get as much as they can from her wealth.
Although she was a gentle person who gave them what they wanted, it was never enough for the flames of greed to die out.
The gardener shook his head remembering young master Eliot, the Lady's only nephew and close relative. Ever since her whole dear family died including her parents, husband, son, and brother, all she was left with was that young child.
It was no wonder that she spoiled the young master rotten.
'That child will suffer much more if he inherits her wealth'
The gardener thought with a frown.
Young master Eliot had an innocent heart like the late Lady's however, that would only make him an easy prey to exploitation.
The old gardener had no doubt the greedy relatives won't shy to use an innocent one like the young master.
Even thought it was said he was spoiled, Eliot showed no signs of arrogance and insolence like a child in his position would.
In fact, he barely had any normal reactions or emotions. He was too calm for a boy his age. Most people in the mansion thought of it as his shock to losing all his dear ones one by one ever since he was too young.
As said, that was the opinion in the mansion only.
By the death of Lady Rina, Eliot's last close family member, a rumor spread like wild fire about a "Curse".
The lonely young boy had a curse that stole all his beloved ones to the embrace of death. Since who gets close to him would die, everyone started to avoid him.
The old man was sure that child was only receiving fake stiff condolences in the funeral right now.
Eliot still had Ms. June but she was sad and old. she might not be enough to protect him.
As the old gardener was starting to feel more upset for the poor future of his young master, he heard the sound of a car pulling over.
The door of the black car opened as a young lady in her early twenties got out.
She had a fine long brown hair with a couple of braided locks and a Mahogany dark skin.
Her blue sea eyes scanned the mansion for a bit before turning back elegantly toward the old man.
The gardener was surprised by her action. It was due to the fact that even though she acted like a lady of class, she was wearing a maid's dress, a weird one at that. The general desinge was of a high class maid but it wasn't of the usual black and white.
The young maid in a blue dress with butterfly patterns smiled gently at him as she asked.
"This is where the funeral of Lady Rina Whishipper is held, isn't it? please correct me if I'm wrong."
"You are in the right place."
The gardener nodded his head and subconsciously answered with a respectful manner.
The young maid bowed slightly before heading back toward the car. While the old man didn't miss how her footsteps had oddly no sound to them, as if she was a real fluttering butterfly, he decided to stop paying much attention to her and head back into the mansion.
The blue butterfly, Elora chrysan, lowered her head against the window of the black car's back seat.
As the glass slid down, Elora spoke.
"Master Rivan, welcome home."
The young man inside the vehicle formed a small voice on his pale lips.
His pair of yellowish green eyes glittered as he spoke.
"Let's annoy some old geezers, shall we? I am home after a long time."
The blue butterfly, Elora had a satisfied smile.
"Yes, Master. The Duke of Whishipper has returned."
