Khasar kept on walking, his head held high and his expression blank.
For a long while, he could still feel the stares trailing him, and those eyes trailed him up until he turned a corner where his silhouette was now out of sight.
Even then, Khasar did not stop. One would think he had not even noticed he was being watched, but a warrior as Khasar was, how could he not?
The only visibly reaction that gave Khasar away was how the ever present scowl on his face deepened and a chilling cold glint flashed through his eyes.
It was there for just a moment and disappeared in the next. So fast that it was hard to believe there had ever been a change in his expression at all.
Khasar walked across the palace grounds, taking the shortest route that led back to his personal courtyard which was set at the farthest end of the Nanzan royal castle.
