Myrina felt her meridians expand as the foreign fire energy surged into her forcefully, excruciating pain shot through Myrina as the fire energy tore through her,
It's force was unbelievable and the speed with which it invaded Myrina's spiritual cognition was brutal, ferociously burning or tearing through whatever was in it's path.
Myrina was not exactly sure why she had settled to absorb the energy, it had been a last minute decision, yet it had looked more promising than deflecting it or stepping out of the way.
Myrina was not certain she could have deflected it even, no barrier she erected to protect herself would have been strong enough to withstand such force,
And stepping out of the way was putting the High King and the rest of the party in harm's way.
