It's the third day since the apocalypse happened in the world, there were no fascinating events occurred. So, Greg decided to work out since he might think that working out might increase his dexterity and strength stat.
"9..... 10..." Greg flops on the floor.
"Nothing happened.. I thought every ten push ups I can get a fraction of a stat." Greg is just laying down on the floor.
"Cold.." Greg stood up and then sat down on his couch.
He stares on his Enhanced kitchen knife.
"I wonder if I can enhance this even further without penalty-- Wait.. I'm pretty sure I forgot something."
Greg walks in front of the skeleton he killed yesterday.
"I knew it"
A
He clicks on the
"No. There's no way, There are literally guns in this world. How come no one killed them yet?"
A tab appeared in front of him once again.
"What a load of crap!" Greg exclaimed.
"What will happen to the monsters if you shoot them?" Greg is trying to ask the "System"
"How can you break their 'anti-guns' barrier?"
"Tsk" Greg clicked his tongue
"Okay.. moving on. let's check the rewards."
Pick a reward
It's leather is almost as hard as metal.
Special Skill: Left Swing.
"Special Skill? That does not sound like a special skill at all.."
A necklace that can clear your mind a little bit.
"A great buff considering in this dire situation.." Greg places his fingers on his chin as if he was having a hard time thinking.
"So only two rewards.. that's neat, both of them help in the long run but I don't know what does this 'Left swing' skill does.. unless it's literally a swing to the left."
A roar is heard in the distance.
"W-What was that?" Greg stood up quickly, making him a bit dizzy due to how sudden he stood up.
a loud stomp is heard, it's getting louder and louder as if it's coming towards Greg's house.
"No, no no no no no no, it's too soon for at least a boss level monster coming out right now."
What he saw in the window was, a Hobgoblin. it's equipped with a short sword and nothing else.
Greg immediately ran upstairs, he knew it was dangerous.
"I'd understand if its a goblin but a hobgoblin?! a sword on top of that!" Greg carelessly exclaimed.
The hobgoblin heard Greg's voice and barged through the door, chuckling.
"I have to hide. Where?" Greg looks for places to hide but he's too panicked to think right now.
"This will do!" Greg hid in his cabinet in his room."
The hobgoblin walked upstairs and somehow knocked the door of Greg's room.
"Yo, I thought I'll have at least plot armor in this situation! how in the world he managed to pick my room right away?" Greg thought to himself.
Greg's heart rate keeps rising and rising.
"I guess this is the time I have to pick my reward." Greg opened the tab and deciding on what to pick.
The hobgoblin slowly walks towards the cabinet where Greg is currently hiding.
"I have to bet my life in this" Greg clicks on a tab.
As soon as the hobgoblin is on a point-blank range, Greg kicked the cabinet door down, knocking the hobgoblin.
Greg threw a hanger on the hobgoblin's feet and the hobgoblin looked a bit more confused as he stared on the hanger.
Greg swiftly rushed to the hobgoblin with his enhanced kitchen knife.
The hobgoblin managed to collect its mind and swings down it's sword downwards.
"Naive!" Greg side-stepped the attack from the hobgoblin and tried to stab it's liver part.
the hobgoblin was quick on it's feet despite the sword he have on it's hand.
the hobgoblin tried to swing it's sword again but this time its side ways.
Greg ducked and shouted. "LEFT SWING!" unexpectedly the hobgoblin couldn't see what happened but it fell down on it's knees.
Greg then stabbed it's heart.
"It was a right decision after all to pick this." Greg rubs his hands with the
"This would not have worked if I picked the necklace." Greg looked on his left hand.
As soon as Greg kicked down the cabinet door and throwing the hanger on the hobgoblin, he took the iron rod from his cabinet, the ones that hangers hang. It's length was almost as long as Greg's torso. he was hiding it on his back, then used the
"That was a gamble.. so this skill makes you swing left, but it's actually stronger than how I can swing."
"What's happening.." Greg feels dizzy and weak.
"Wh-What..?" Greg fell down on his bed unconscious.
