Why did I let Seilah disappear from my sight!?
Where can I even see her here? The palace garden was extremely huge and I was so sure that I have no chance of finding Seilah or Jaeger in time if I try searching the whole place.
Was there was a specific place there? The story was written in a third person's perspective so there was a huge chance that the specific location was described there. Damn my stupid brain! I have forgotten it so easily!
"Third Lady Landerborne?" I flinched in surprise when someone called my name. A voice of a man.
I took a turn so I could see his face, he was wearing a knight's uniform. Similar to what Seilah usually wears! Who is he anyway? I think I already meet him before but I don't remember his name at all. He has dark orange hair, of the standard length. His eyes were moss green and it sparkles, and he's also extremely tall!
Come on. Frieda! I thought you know everyone's name!
"Oh, Sir Knight... I was just looking for my sister." I said I hope he doesn't feel offended since I don't even remember his name.
"You must have forgotten my name, I'm Alderius Dragomir. A colleague of your sister, Lieutenant Seilah." He said as he paid me respect. "I apologized, Sir Alderius--- wait, Alderius you say?" I covered my mouth when I realized who he was.
He was an important character in the story!
But he was one of the characters who will die, protecting the main character from the villainess! Seilah met an accident while on a horse on their expedition. She was the captain of their squad so she can't let her men alone so even if she was injured, she has to go with them.
Frieda who was travelling with them, tampered with the map given to their squads causing them to get lost and were led to a route full of lurking robbers. Their squad were overwhelmed by the number of enemies, they were almost wiped out if it wasn't only for Alderius who sacrificed his life in order to save Seilah.
Before dying, he confessed his feelings to Seilah but he said that he accepted the fate of being rejected cause he knew that Seilah was in love with Jaeger. Seilah was on the verge of collapsing when the Gold General found her.
What a pitiful end.
I just realized that he was looking at me in a weirded expression because of my exaggerated reaction. "My lady, is there something wrong? Do you want me to help you look for Lieutenant Seilah?" He asked.
Well, I guessed it was fine for another pair of eyes to go look with me.
"That was such a huge help, Sir Alderius. I would love to." I said.
"It was my pleasure to help, my lady." He said as he bowed his head for another time.
. . .
Wait... Specific place?
The fountain!
The scene was after realizing that Seilah caught him red-handed, Jaeger unconsciously pushed the lady towards the fountain causing the latter to be drenched in water.
How could I forget about that?
I quickly looked for the fountain but the garden was just too big, I nearly gave up!
I met Alderius again. "I had no luck, finding Lieutenant in that area my lady. I'm sorry." He apologized, I gave him a grin. "It was alright, Sir Alderius. About the garden's fountain, where is it?" I asked again.
"The fountain? Are there any specific description, my lady? I'm afraid, there are so many fountains in the Royal Garden. It would be difficult looking for it." He said,
Shoot! Just luck! How am I going to find them now? "Is that so?" I said as I sighed.
"But don't worry, My lady. It would be easier looking for it since I know every fountain on these grounds." My face immediately brightens as I clapped in glee. "Thank you very much Sir Alderius, you're such an angel!" I said.
I immediately looked for fountains, I've found six already but they are all out of sight.
Was the scene done, already?
Oh please, no. I have to know now!
"Kyaa!" I flinched when I heard a woman's scream. Was there some kind of incidents?
I quickly run in the direction of the noise, although I quickly hid when I finally found the exact people whom I have been searching for. Thank goodness I wasn't late!
This is really the novel!
"What happens---!" I immediately pulled Alderius back as I covered his mouth, this scene might change so I can't let him meddle!
"Shh!" I said as I pushed him back the wall and signalled him to keep quiet. I then took a peek to see what was happening.
"Y-your Highness, why would you---"
"Lady Hildegard! Run if you value your life!" He shouted as he pulled the lady out of the fountain. She quickly runs in our direction.
"T-Third---" I hushed her up and pushed her to the wall as well, just like what I did to Alderius. "My Lady-"
"Quiet!" I scolded them, held on to their mouths.
I turned to Jaeger and Seilah once again.
"Lady Landerborne, be kind enough not to tell your sister about this!"
"Every time we meet each other, you're always creating trouble, Your Highness,"
"What's going on here?" Alderius asked in a low voice. "Shh, just listen to them," I responded.
"Please Lady Landerborne. Your sister will be heartbroken!" Dumbass, if he knew that his fiancée would heartbroken, why would he still proceed to this kind of situation?
"My lady, please forgive my insolence--!" It was too late for me to stop the lady from shouting.
"Who goes there!?" Jaeger shouted so I exchanges a glance with Alderius, the latter quickly glanced away though. I glared at the lady, she squealed as she runoff. She ruined a major scene!
This scene was supposed to be the major point of the novel when they will start to have their closure! Damn that witch!
I sighed as I get out of my hiding place, as well as Alderius.
I noticed Jaeger's face turned pale. What a cheating jerk.
"My lady---"
"Your Highness, please cancel our engagement."
