Aaron backed up against a wall, trying to disappear while his brothers and sister peppered him with questions. Just as he was getting cornered, Odette hopped down and growled. She knew she was an omega, but since she was a Jewel wolf, her growl as strong as a beta's, and she knew that they were normies, not anything higher than a beta. The glared at her, clearly not accepting the fact that her growl was stronger than theirs, and stormed out of the room, enraged. "W-why did you do that for me? I gave away your location, possibly made you POISONED, and--" Odette cut him off by saying:
"It's fine, you're fine. We're not going to die because I helped you or anything." Aaron looked down at his feet, and Odette instantly regretted joking about dying. She could tell he was a solar wolf from the golden strands of hair that he couldn't dye, and those types of wolves had a yearly death toll of 5 000 wolves. Odette hung her head, walked over to Aaron, and muttered "S-Sorry for joking about death. I know that your species of wolf are hunted. I-I-I didn't mean to offend you." Aaron jumped at this, and looked around to see that Alice had left with his brothers. He sighed in relief, before wrapping Odette in a hug. The jewel wolf squeaked, surprised, but after a moment, wrapped her arms around him.
"It's fine, you don't have to apologise for anything." Aaron murmured. and he nestled his head into her hair. The two wolves stayed like that for 7 minutes, before a high-pitched squeal from the doorway. They jolted apart and spun in that direction, to see Alice standing in the doorway, jumping up and down. "Are you two DATING?" She asked, and Odette and Aaron flushed bright pink, and said at the same time:
"NO!"
Alice burst on the floor, laughing. Aaron raised an eyebrow, but Odette knew exactly what she was talking about. There were 2 little kids that looked almost identical to the 2 siblings holding their hands behind hers and Aaron's heads doing the "Bunny ears" joke. She signalled for Aaron to look behind him, and when he saw them, he couldn't have looked more annoyed. "Ace and Amelia, please stop." His voice was so stern that Odette jumped at the tone he was using. They took their hands down immediately, and rapidly apologised. Alice recovered and stood up, but she was still laughing. Suddenly, the royal's dad burst in through the door, looking a whole bloody mess. "They're here!" The king shouted. Alice looked confused, but Aaron paled. Odette filled with fright, knowing exactly what had happened.
