~Natalia
I K N E W I was awake, but I couldn't move. I could hear faint voices in the background, but it wasn't clear.
"You need to tell Natalia why you said those things to her," a voice said. "I know I do, but she won't want to talk to me. What I said to her were some of the most hateful things I've ever said to someone in my life," someone responded. I tried to open my eyes, but I could only open them slightly. I looked around and realized that I was in a hospital yet again. It's official. I hate hospitals.
I wriggled my fingers, trying to regain full control over my body.
"It doesn't matter if she doesn't want to talk to you. She needs to know why you told her those things," the first voice replied.
"She's moving!" a new voice said. I heard distant shuffling and felt a body sit down beside me. "Open your eyes, princess," the same voice said. I tried to, but I could barely open them.
I felt a pair of hands trying to pry open my eyes. "What the hell are you doing?!" Zayn asked. "Well you see, sherlock, I used my hands to open her eyes, and it worked, so you should be thanking me," Ash said, smirking.
Zayn rolled his eyes and approached me. "How are you feeling, cupcake?" he asks in concern. I looked up at him and motioned for him to sit beside me. "You want me to sit next to you?" he asked in surprise.
"You know, for someone who says he's really smart, you're actually quite stupid," Ash remarked.
Zayn smacked his head and sat down beside me. I rested my head on his chest, causing him to stiffen. I quickly lifted my head, knowing he didn't want me touching him. "Cupcake, you can rest your head on my chest," he said softly. I lay my head on him and sigh. There was an odd feeling inside of me... a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. Mason walked in, and I stiffened. Recalling what happened yesterday, I started to whimper. Why was he so mean to me? What did I even do to him? "I know he hurt your feelings, cupcake. And trust me, I'm gonna beat his ass for you, but you have to know that he said those things to you for a reason." I shook my head, not wanting to talk to Mason.
"Please, baby. Just let him explain," Zayn begged. I sighed and looked at Mason. He looked pained for some reason. "Natalia, I am really sorry for what I said to you. I didn't mean any of it. I swear on my life. But the reason why I said those words is because a guy came... and he took my mom." Mason's voice started to crack. "He t-told me that I h-had to tell y-you those things o-or else he would k-kill her," he said, crying silently.
I didn't realize that tears were running down my face until Zayn wiped them away. "I'm so sorry, Mason," I said softly. He looked at me like he wanted to hug me...but wasn't sure if I was okay with it. I stretched out my arms, and he hugged me tightly.
Someone clapping brought us out of our moment. "That was beautiful," Ash said, wiping fake tears from his face. He took a kleenex and blew out his nose. "It was just too beautiful," he said, crying into Dariel's shoulder. Dariel flicked his forehead, causing Ash to curse.
"Way to go, dipshit. You just ruined their moment," Ash said. Dariel rolled his eyes and looked at me. "How are you feeling love?" he asked. "I feel like I never want to be in a hospital ever again," I said honestly. Mason chuckled. "Well, that's good news, because the doctor's said you're good to go."
