Chapter 14 - Susan's decision

For the moment, they feel a bit relieved for her calm reaction. Now, they raised their heads. Molly gently wiped her tears on each eye with the left and right sides of her right and left palms respectively, as there is hope of surviving Susan's rage. She can feel pains in the lower part of her eyes due to outrageous tons of tears she has dispensed for the day. Showing a sign of relief, she placed her hands on her laps to align with her knee, breaths in, to push her chest up, laid back her neck on the sofa in a relaxed mood and breaths out. She closed her eyes to remedy the pains she felt.

Margie adjusted to her left to lay her head on Charles's shoulder for comfort as Charles held her left wrist.

"Which mortuary was he taken to?" Prisca asked as Susan walked pass her, heading to the stairs.

"Tokex General Hospital" Douglas answered in a relaxed tune and continued "They already commenced an autopsy on him which will be out tomorrow evening" Douglas added

Suddenly, Susan stopped on the stairs as if she was pinched by something to Douglas's surprise. The others didn't notice the change in movement because of their sitting positions. Molly and Prisca sat on a better position to notice it, but Prisca was focused on getting Douglas's answer by looking at him intently while Molly had her eyes closed. Margie and Charles has no chance to see Susan's movements at all because their sitting position backs the stairs. Douglas worried what could have stopped her when she turned furiously and spoke up as Margie and Charles turned at the same time to hear her.

"To hell with the autopsy and all medical remedies. To all that have a hand in the so called cloning trial that led to Robin's death, prepare yourselves to rot in prison, because I will pin you all down with everything in me no matter what it takes and who is involved" she said non-stop breathing hard in anger as Molly quickly opened her eyes in shock and sat up quickly.

"I promise" she added meanly and continued walking up the stairs.

For some seconds, her words kept bouncing back to their ears like an echo. Molly keeps staring at her at her in shock as she disappeared into the corridor. Margie and Charles could not believe she said that as they stared at each other in confusion for a while. Douglas slowly rubbed his forehead hopelessly as he slacked into the sofa. Prisca has never heard Susan sound that horrific but she is fully aware Susan meant all she said.

"Wow!" Prisca acclaimed drooping her face downwards a bit. "I'm short of words" she added as she shook her head in sideways pattern with a quick pace to assure her state of surprise and joined her hand together on her laps.

Her statement depicted "Nobody will be spared". Prisca and the couple didn't feel the consequences of Susan's statement as much as Douglas and Molly did. Douglas melted into himself hopelessly as Molly halted every of her body movements to comprehend what Susan said. Nonetheless, their fears and instincts beforehand never deceived them.

Prisca quietly inserted her hands into the space in between her skirt on which her car key lies, took it and stood up majestically as the others watched her. She gently walked to her former seat and sat down, then she pulled her shoes into her foots.

Immediately, Molly realized herself and blinked her eyes in a deranged manner. Prisca picked her bag as well, slotted her hands into the handle of the bag to reach her left shoulder and walked out of the house leaving them to carry their cross.

Prisca's attitude can be considered wrong for she is expected to stay back to console Molly, plead with her friend to have mercy or sit down and mop. Unfortunately, the full understanding of courtesy differs to so many people.

This quickly reminded Molly of when Prisca reported her to Susan for joining the Tokex's band group. Prisca's daughter, Olivia, was asked to leave the group by the coach because her performance wasn't good enough to be in the band. With that, she quickly ran to Susan and condemned every good thing the band group is reckoned with because Molly was retained.

Susan quickly warned and withdrew Molly from going for the band practices. From that time on, she labelled Prisca bad for ruining her participation in the only social group she joined successfully. Robin as well had his own bad records about Prisca which Susan always blatantly ignores for the sake of their friendship.

Molly is not surprised with her recent attitude because she never expected more from her.

"I'm sure she doesn't mean that?" Charles asked referring to Susan's decision as he pointed his right index finger to the stairs.

"She meant every bit of it" Douglas assured as Molly bursts into tears, using her knee to support her elbow joints as she covered her face with her palms, keeping her back in a slant position.

"I'm not surprised" he added as he placed his left hand on the arm of the sofa and supported his jaw with its fist.

"Hmmm" Charles said as he leaned back on the sofa too. "So what do we do?" he asked again

"I don't know" Molly replied as she tried to wipe her tears but still cannot control its flow

"Maybe we await her wrath" Douglas asserted giving up willingly

"No" Margie said as she sits up to explain herself "I think you should talk to her Molly" she added as Molly looked up to her "Yeah, I believe she will listen to you" Margie concluded with a firm face convincingly

"She will not listen to her" Douglas assured

"Please we should not conclude yet, until we give it a trial" Margie advised "I believe she will listen" she added as Douglas turned away his face in disagreement.

Despite Margie's conviction she still maintained his stand.

Few minutes later, Douglas left for his home while Charles and Margie headed home to get some rest.
