A man dressed in a security officer uniform rushed down the dimly lit halls, heading towards his employer's office. He took a moment to pause outside the door, taking time to compose himself before heading inside.
"Hello sir, I've brought the report like you asked," the man said looking around. Inside the room were two figures, a tall slender middle aged man whom was dressed in a business suit holding a glass likely filled with some kind of alcohol who was looking out a window overlooking a dark cliff face. The other was a woman with dark raven hair who looked like she could be in her early twenties dressed in a similar, but more decorated, security uniform to what he was wearing.
Lining the walls were bookcases and shelves filled with all sorts of oddities. Titles that were in languages he couldn't read filled the room. Strange objects in cases covered the shelves leading to his employer's desk. Upon the desk sat a computer monitor and some papers he couldn't quite make out from where he stood.
"Thank you officer Wright," the man in the suit said not looking his way.
Officer Wright cleared his throat, "We recently suffered another attack on one of our nearby warehouses. In which we lost a large amount of inventory in trying to apprehend the culprit responsible, who we unfortunately lost in the mountains." The man sighed and took another drink from his glass.
"So are you here only to tell me of your failures then, officer?"
"N-no sir, we have some good new as well."
"Then lets hear it."
"We suffered no major injures or causalities during the raid-."
"Do you think I care about that?"
"Y-you're right I'm sorry sir. O-other than that we also managed to learn something about the culprit. They appeared to be getting help from someone inside the company."
"So, there is a rat among us then? I will have someone find and dispose of whoever might be leaking our information."
"Of course sir," Officer Wright said turning for the door quickly. After he left the man finished his drink and placed the glass on the desk beside him. He sat down and looked at his computer screen which displayed footage of the incident. Massive rocks jutted out of the ground as the intruder waved their hand causing many large crates to be destroyed. The intruder was then surrounded, but then the ground opened up beneath them allowing them to escape the circle of trained men and women. They then appeared at the door of the warehouse and ran out towards the mountains.
"What would you like me to do about the situation sir?" The woman asked.
"I want you to increase our security measures to make sure that we have no other traitors in our midst. Then dispose of Officer Wright, make sure it's clean as to not lead any suspicion our way"
"Of course, my team will handle everything."
"I would also like if the girls training was sped up so that they might be of some use to this issue."
"I feel as though that might not be the best course of action sir, they still haven't learned the intent to kill."
"Then find a way to harden them to the idea and then use them to capture this brat, I will not stand for any more of these raids! We have lost enough products that the board is practically breathing down my neck for results with those girls!"
"I understand and will personally see to it that they learn," she then bowed and left the room. The man turned back towards the window gazing out at the dark night sky and thought to himself about how he should deal with things going forwards.
