"I can't function anymore." Sky groaned as she threw herself on top of my bed. It was Saturday and Sky wanted to sleep over since both of weren't busy with school as of the moment.
I rolled my eyes at her. "You always say that yet you still get high grades." I stated, laying down beside her. We both stared at the ceiling with the comfortable silence surrounding us. "How's Qetsiyah Academy?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"Your cousin is pissing me off." Sky complained, standing up from the bed. "He pisses me off, so much, I almost fell down the stairs!" she exclaimed.
"Why? What did Charlie do?" I asked, curiously. To be honest, throughout the years I've never seen Sky and Charlie interact with each other. I wonder why they're talking just now.
"He keeps on flirting with me, Callie! Flirting. It's weird. Charlie has never flirted with me before nor has he paid much attention to me before. Can you please tell him to stop that?" Sky was practically begging.
"Yeah. I'll talk to him." I gave her a nod. "But, I'm not surprised, you know. Charlie has always been like that, Sky. We've been in the same school as him since primary."
Sky furrowed her brows, looking confused. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"Harry is Charlie's protΓ©gΓ©." I shared, nonchalantly. "Harry learned all of his moves from the one and only Charles Walker. Harry practically worships the man." I continued.
"Charlie is the guy!? The guy." Sky gapped. "Damn, I really never knew."
I snorted. "Because all of your attention was towards someone else, Skylyn." I teased, making her glare at me. "Now, let's head downstairs and order pizza."
"I'll pick the flavor of the pizza." Sky said, dragging me out of the room. "So, I heard fron Harry that there was a festival next week."
I nodded. "Yeah. You and Maven could come. The school is really going all out because of this festival."
"Why is that?" Sky asked.
I shrugged. "I don't know. Anyway, order three pizzas. Cole and Connor would like to eat even though they'll be home late." I said, opening up my wallet which I was immediately stopped.
"It's my treat." Sky smiled. "I haven't treated you in a while now."
"Yeah. It's fine, though." I replied.
I was fixing up the table as Sky ordered up pizza. Once both of us were done with our task, we sat by the couch and opened up the TV to watch Netflix.
"Oh, yeah. Can you babysit Shane tomorrow?" Sky asked.
"Why would you like me to babysit your baby brother?" I asked, arching my brow upwards.
"I have a thing tomorrow. Maven can't watch Shane since he's out of town, neither can Harry. The babysitter is available for tonight but she isn't tomorrow. Can you watch him until around eight in the evening?" Sky asked, looking at me with her stupid puppy eyes.
I sighed in defeat. "Fine. I'll babysit Shane." I said, causing her to hug me.
"Thanks!" Sky beamed, letting me go. "I'll drop him off here after lunch." She informed.
Shane is about five years old. He's a cute kid and a nice one too. When he was even more younger I used to babysat him since Sky was busy with volleyball practices and their parents were always on business trips. It's been months since the last time I've seen Shane. I miss him.
The doorbell rang, letting us know that the pizza guy was here. Sky went up to my room to get her wallet, whilst I went out to get the pizza. To my utter shock, it wasn't the pizza guy, it was Harry.
"Harry? You're not the pizza guy." I furrowed my brows as I saw that he was holding a bag in his hands. "What are you doing here?"
"You said that I could stay here if things at home was too much. Does that offer still stand, Ali?" Harry asked.
"Of course it still stands." I verified, opening the gate to let him enter the house. "What happened? What did he do now, Harry?"
He didn't answer. Instead, he dropped his bags on the floor before wrapping his arms around me. I slowly wrapped my arms around him as he laid his head on my shoulder.
"Please tell me you're alright, Harrison." I whispered. "Nod if you are." He nodded slowly.
"I really don't want to talk about it right now." he said, pulling away from my embrace before grabbing his bags.
"Let's head inside. It's freezing." I said, leading him in.
"Is the pizβ" Sky stopped at her tracks. "Harry, what are you doing here?"
"Harry is staying here." I announced.
Sky nodded. "Good. You should leave that hellhole. I always hated your brother. I hated the way he looks at me and Ali."
Harry's eyes widened in shock. "He what? He gives you looks? What looks?" Harry asked, furiously.
"Harry, calm down. It's just looks. Nothing else." I said, calmly.
I have to admit that I was uncomfortable with the way Harry's brother looks at me. He looks at me, like he was undressing me with his eyes. Makes me shudder.
"Yeah. Remember during the summer when Callie and I were picking you for the beach. God, he kept looking at us and he gave a really disgusting comment about me that made me slap him in the face." Sky said with a grim look on her face.
Harry sighed, massaging the bridge of his nose. "You could have told me sooner. I'd definitely beat his ass."
Sky waved him off. "No worries." she said.
"Are finally going to take my advice and file a restraining order?" I asked, curiously.
"Yeah. I'm going to talk to Carter, Cole, and Connor in the morning. I already made an appointment and they were willing to help me." Harry said.
"Are you going to tell us what happened?" I asked.
"No." Harry answered. "Sorry."
We spent the entire night eating pizza and talking about things. Sky and I were trying to avert the conversation away from what was happening with Harry. We wanted him to feel safe here. The feeling he never experienced at his household.
Sky excused herself before stepping out to answer a phone call whilst Harry and I clean up. I was about to wash the dishes but Harry gladly offered.
"Hey, Ali." Harry cooed, wiping his hands dry.
"Hmm?"
"Thank you." He said with a small smile on his face
I shook my head. "It's fine, Harrison. You're always welcome here. Never forget that you're family."
