"Give me your keys, Calistine."
"No." I quickly declined. "I don't want you to drive me home, Montecillio." I said. Harry is currently staying at our residence and he told me that he didn't want anyone to know about his whereabouts. Plus, my brothers would ask so many questions on why Montecillio would drive me home.
"Are you confident that you'll be able to drive home during the night?" He asked.
"No." I said. "But don't worry about it. I'll call Harry." I said as he placed Shane on the passenger seat.
"You'll end up disturbing someone." he pointed out. "Do you feel uncomfortable around me? Is that why you don't want me to drive you home?" he scoffed. "Goodbye, Calistine." he muttered before walking away.
"What? No." I was about catch up with Rhys but my phone rang which cause me to answer it automatically. "What?"
"Where are you?" Connor asked in a harsh tone.
"On my way home." I sighed before entering my car and starting the ignition. "What's going on?" I asked as I started to drive out of the basement parking.
"It's dark already. Get home now." he said before ending the call.
I sighed. Does Montecillio really think that I feel uncomfortable around him? I'm not uncomfortable. I'm just not used to having people who aren't close to me drive me home. Plus I don't like people knowing where I live. My closest friends and family members only knows where I live.
My brothers and I have grown skeptical on who to trust over years. We've had issues before. We would very like to avoid it.
When I got home, Sky was already there and she hugged me and thanked me again for taking time to babysit Shane. After that, she left. I parked my car inside the garage before entering the house where my brothers and Harry looked at me with a concerned look on their faces.
"Please don't ask me why I'm home this late." I said before they could say anything else. That got them silent. "Did you file a restraining order?" I asked.
"Yeah. It's finalized and have been sent to Henry." Cole replied, proudly.
I nodded. "Good." I muttered. "I'm going to head up. Good night." I said before walking up the stairs.
I took a shower before wearing something comfortable. I hate feeling like this. I didn't even get to say sorry to him today. Shit. I need to say sorry otherwise I'll feel guilty the entire night.
I grabbed my phone, searching my contacts for Rhys Montecillio. I frowned as I remembered that I don't have his number.
"Shit shit shit." I groaned, jumping on my bed. I'll just say sorry to him tomorrow.
The next morning, I woke up very early since I need to cook breakfast for my brothers, Harry, and I. I just cooked spam and eggs and toasted some bread and brewed the coffee beans before heading up to their rooms to wake them up.
"Harrison." I removed the duvet from his body. "Wake up. You're driving me to school." I said before walking over to my brothers' room. I didn't woke them up since they were already awake.
I took a shower first before wearing my uniform. Instead of the blazer, I wore the blue sweater vest today. I tied my hair up into a bun before heading downstairs. I sat besides Harry as we ate breakfast.
"What time are the both of you going home later?" Cole asked, looking at Harry and I.
I shrugged. "I don't know." I answered.
"The school festival is next week. We'll be preparing the whole week. So, I'm guessing we'll be home later than expected." Harry explained.
Connor nodded. "Harry, have you talked to your parents about Henry?" he asked.
"No." Harry answered firmly. "Why?"
"Since you're already part of the family. Why don't we adopt you?" Cole suggested. "Your parents won't have to worry about paying for your needs. We'll gladly do that on our own."
Harry almost choked on his food upon hearing it. "I'm sorry. Did I heard you correctly? You want to adopt me?" he asked, completely and utterly shocked.
"Yes." Cole answered. "Well, we don't need paperwork since you are already of legal age. You don't have to ask for your parents for their support."
I knew what they were talking about. Harry's parents always looked down on him. They always adored Henry which I don't know why. When Harry told his parents he wanted to be a lawyer, they quickly hated the idea. They said they didn't want to pay for his tuition if he didn't change his course.
"I-I can't." Harry stuttered. "You've already let me stay here. You don't have to pay for my tuition." he quickly declined.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Think of it as a scholarship." I said. "Besides, you don't have to be shy about this, Harry. You deserve a family that will love you with all of their hearts. Now, you've got it."
"Thank you." Harry said, quietly. "I'll try my best to make you proud."
Cole washed the dishes before we all left together. Cole and Connor waved at us goodbye before hopping inside their cars and driving away and we did the same.
"Henry saw me yesterday." I said. "He ask me where you were. I didn't tell him, though."
"Did he hurt you?" Harry asked as he checked my arms for forming bruises. I thought we were going to crash when he removed his hands away from the wheel but we didn't since we were already parked in the schools.
I shook my head. "No. Montecillio was there and he kind of saved me from Henry. If he hadn't been there, God knows where I would be right now." I muttered as we got off thr car and walked over to the High School Building.
Harry sighed, looping his arm around my shoulders."I'm sorry he did that to you, Callie." he whispered. "And Rhys was with you yesterday?"
I nodded. "Yeah. Shane really liked him. So, Shane invited him along." I replied.
"Well, good thing he was with you." Harry said. "The Rhys' a nice guy. I don't understand why you don't like him."
I scoffed. "I do like him." I retorted.
"Please. You don't even call him by his name. You call him by his last name which really gives out vibes that you hate him or something."
"We aren't close enough for me to call him by his last name."
"Yet he calls you by your first name." Harry snorted. "Calistine." he cooed.
I narrowed my eyes at him, making him laugh out loud. People around us gave us looks that caused me to get shy while Harry didn't. He just kept on laughing.
"I really hate you, Harrison." I hissed. "How do you even know this?"
"I have sources, Callie."
