Chapter 8 - Qing Hua Was A Person who Liked to pretend

Ai Zhiyi was silent for a while. He knew the owner of the voice quite well and began to think about many things on his mind. But, since Chu Weixu's current state was his priority, he tried to be calm, and asked in a flat tone, "Where's Weixu?"

Qing Hua (Hua = prosperous), a man with whom he spoke, was currently leaning against the wall. One hand held the phone to the ear and the other hand in the pocket. As soon as he heard the question, he replied indifferently, "In the hospital. Changhang Hospital."

"Okay, then."

Ai Zhiyi didn't want to talk for too long. When he found out where Chu Weixu was, he immediately hung up and rushed to the hospital.

As soon as he arrived, he hurriedly walked towards the emergency room where Chu Weixu was being treated.

In front of a ward door, Qing Hua sat playing with his cell phone. He didn't notice Ai Zhiyi's presence until Ai Zhiyi asked him, "How is Weixu doing?"

Qing Hua was a little startled by someone's voice. He immediately looked up and saw Ai Zhiyi standing in front of him with a displeased look as if he saw an enemy.

Qing Hua felt insulted by that look. However, since he didn't want to show offense in front of Ai Zhiyi, he got up and replied with artificial hospitality, "It will be better if you take a look by yourself than having to ask me."

Ai Zhiyi rolled his eyes as soon as he heard Qing Hua's words. Then, Ai Zhiyi immediately opened the door without any response. From the start, he wasn't serious in asking a question. He only tried to say hello to Qing Hua, but as he didn't know how to greet that person, he asked a question as a courtesy.

Ai Zhiyi pushed the door open, and then immediately walked into the ward. Qing Hua followed him behind with a mysterious smile that was painted on his calm, yet slightly ruthless, face.

In front of them, Chu Weixu lay helplessly on a patient bed with an IV in his hand. He was unconscious at this time.

Seeing Chu Weixu's condition, Ai Zhiyi was distressed and immediately approached him. He grabbed Chu Weixu's hand and grasped it with genuine affection which never changed in his heart, then asked Qing Hua with sobs pressed down his throat, without turning to him, "What happened? How could Weixu be like this?"

Qing Hua sat on a chair, leaning back lazily. He stared at Ai Zhiyi intently for a few seconds as if he didn't want to hear any questions from him. But, in the end, he replied indifferently, "I don't know. I just came as a customer and accidentally found Weixu lying on the ground with blood on his nose."

Ai Zhiyi was silent for a long time before asking again, "Where is Wen Qi?"

"I don't know."

Hearing the answer, Ai Zhiyi was stunned for a moment, thinking something in his head. He remembered that Wen Qi would come to help Chu Weixu with the customers after he finished his class this morning and wondered if Wen Qi had anything else to do or even forgot his own words.

But, before he could think any further, Qing Hua's voice shattered his thoughts.

"Zhiyi, is Weixu sick? When I came, I thought he accidentally slipped and passed out. But, looking around him, nothing looked messy. I assumed that he passed out due to something else," while asking, he walked over to Ai Zhiyi. As soon as he was right near him, he touched Ai Zhiyi's shoulder gently, squeezing his shoulder a little as if he was empathizing with Chu Weixu's condition.

However, Ai Zhiyi knew how the man behaved quite well and was only reluctant to comment.

Yet, it seemed that he was still displeased with the act. He immediately pushed aside Qing Hua's hand roughly, while answering disrespectfully to his tone, "He has hemophilia. He probably forgot to take the medicine."

Hearing about this, Qing Hua suddenly gave a cold grin. The expression on his face was certainly different than before, like a lion that had just bared its fangs proudly. "Really? I never knew that."

Ai Zhiyi gritted his teeth. He wanted to say that a bastard like him didn't deserve to know anything about Chu Weixu, but he chose to remain silent.

Meanwhile, judging by the expression on his face, Qing Hua didn't seem to care about the answer. Then, Qing Hua asked something that made Ai Zhiyi want to smack his face.

"Are you sure he forgot? Did he not intend to suicide?"

Ai Zhiyi raised his hand immediately, about to slap that bastard's face but was held by Qing Hua who still showed a cold smile that made Ai Zhiyi want to kick him out of the room.

Every gesture of concern that Qing Hua showed was just a pretense. Ai Zhiyi knew it quite well.

All this time, Qing Hua was a person who liked to pretend. He was a person who liked to deceive others and was manipulative. Ai Zhiyi was trapped by him and he didn't want to be trapped a second time. Because of that, Qing Hua was a person who always looked awful in his eyes even though he didn't mean anything.

Ai Zhiyi was deceived once, wherein he had to lose his pride which made him regret it.

From then on, Qing Hua was the person he hated the most in this world. All the sweet things about him were his deadly venom. Once we got stung, no one could survive the poison of a poisonous snake like him. There was nothing good left in Ai Zhiyi's mind, apart from the badness that always made him nauseous.

However, Ai Zhiyi felt bad. Qing Hua already helped Chu Weixu by taking him to the hospital, so Ai Zhiyi had a feeling of guilt if he did what his heart wanted.

Ai Zhiyi tried desperately to suppress his anger and not yell at him. He took a silent breath to quiet himself down. But even though he did manage to hold on, as soon as he asked, displeasure was evident at his words, "What do you want?"

"You still can ask that question?" Qing Hua let out a cold laugh that heard mocking. He let go of his grip on Ai Zhiyi's wrist, then suddenly pulled Ai Zhiyi's waist so Ai Zhiyi was pushed forward and was in the arms of the madman.
