Yali kept his eyes riveted on the Basha that was in his arms.
He still couldn't figure it out.
What was wrong? Where exactly was something off?
Everything was off!
The Basha he remembered was cold and aloof; she would avoid him at all costs and certainly wouldn't be this close to him.
Yali furrowed his brows tightly.
Could it be the Antelope Tribe already knew that his father was planning to drive them away, so they deliberately sent Basha to seduce him, hoping to change his father's mind?
The Antelope Tribe had recently discovered a massive salt cave. His father found out that the amount of salt in it could feed Upper Beast City for quite some time!
Because of this, he started to be unsatisfied with the Antelope Tribe. They were thin, small, and feeble; even their hunting skills were subpar and there were more of them. Keeping them was simply a waste of food.
So his father wanted to drive them out of the Upper Beast City, even considering them too weak to keep as slaves.
