After fumbling for another five minutes, she decisively gave up.
She exchanged a lighter from the mall and lit a merry fire.
Although the stove was not big, it could accommodate two pots, one for simmering rice and one for stir-frying dishes. Just perfect.
She added some rice to the pot along with an appropriate amount of water, then plunked a couple of hard logs in the stove and let it slowly burn.
She cut off a big chunk of fat from the meat she'd gotten, diced it, and melted the pig oil out of it in another pot. She'd stored plenty of pots, plates, and spoons in her Space, so she wasn't worried about having nowhere to store the oil.
The oil residue, sprinkled with a layer of salt and cumin, was crunchy and fragrant. It lingered in the mouth and she set it aside to be used as a side dish later.
She didn't scoop out all of the oil in the pot, leaving some for stir-frying the dish.
