Chapter 41 - Who is a vampire?

Jack drove his car at high speed.

Through the orange twilight sky. The streets of X city were so congested and jammed that Jack couldn't wait. He looked annoyed that he had hit the brakes several times.

"Jack, where are you taking me, are you sure that person will buy this thing I got?" Leah asked, trying to change the expression on Jack's face.

Jack couldn't make a disgusted face in front of the princess, wasn't that rude.

"We can get to the shop quickly if my energy is not drained. I have to recharge my energy. But, why is this street so congested!"

Leah could only arch her eyebrows saw Jack's face, grinning in annoyance.

"I'm so weak, how can I protect you with my condition like this." Jack softly with a depressed face.

"Jack, can we talk serious and sensible?" Leah asked then, she turned her body towards Jack who was focused on staring at the road with the steering wheel in his hand.

"I'm someone you can seriously take," Jack replied with a flat face, he was still waiting when the road ahead would be smooth. His feet were sore, stepping on the gas many times.

Leah looked at Jack's face one more time, She had a lot of questions in her head, and the first was.

"Stop calling me princess. I'm not a princess or anyone you can call with such a title! "

"Yes !!" Jack shouted with a face of joy.

He wasn't responding to Leah's request, but he was happy that their car was finally cleared from the traffic jam.

"What were you talking about my princess?" Jack asked casually.

Leah glared, She was annoyed. "I said! Don't call the princess!" She shouted.

Jack was surprised for a moment then he smiled.

Leah raised both hands about to scratch Jack's face. "Why are you smiling. You're crazy!"

Jack's laughter grew louder and louder. "You must have another question that has more Urgent!" Said Jack then. "Didn't you feel strange about a man with a sword disappearing with the wind?"

Leah straightened up, her arms crossed her chest. "I need to see a psychologist after this!" Leah replied with a lazy face.

"a psychologist?" Jack asked in disbelief at his hearing.

"Well, you and all your magic tricks, make me hallucinate and crazy."

"You can say I'm a little witch because I have a little bit of strength in me. But magic tricks, I'm not good at it at all! " Jack's face was serious, but Leah didn't care.

"I watch a lot of magic shows on television, they can bring in and get rid of people." Leah still couldn't believe what Jack said.

In modern times, sophisticated and advanced. How could someone have magic? Leah couldn't believe what Jack said. But .. when it comes to magicians and tricks, Leah still believes.

Wasn't there a magic school, they also sell magic trick tools?

"There's so much you should know besides tricks and school!" Said Jack then stopped the car.

"We have arrived!" Jack pointed to an old building ahead.

A large house, complete with a yard and a small shop. The glass on the shop wall looks transparent so that from the yard you can see that there are lots of old, unique, strange things piling up in there.

Leah raised her head.

A carved board hung hanging, it swaying in the evening wind. She tried to read the writing on the board.

"Lewis's shop .." she muttered softly.

Seeing Jack's car in the yard made Lewis's grandfather get up from a rocking wooden chair.

He moved slowly, his old body looked so careful, his eyes dimmed, he took the glasses hanging from his neck, put on the chain glasses.

He looked surprised saw who was Jack had brought.

Jack took out the sword wrapped in Lauren's floral sheet. He carried the object carefully, afraid that it might injure him again.

Grandfather Lewis's eyes did not blink, he gaped at the sight of Leah and Jack who were getting closer to the shop. The old man glanced at his hand.

He could see the hair on his hands twitching, he had goosebumps, the aura that was getting closer to him was cold.

Jack pushed open the door, he invited Leah into the shop.

"Hey, grandpa!" Greet Jack in his signature cool style.

There was no response from old Lewis, the man was still frozen, disbelieving.

Leah joined the room, She glanced at Jack when she saw Lewis's old face staring at her without blinking. What's wrong!

Jack also sensed Lewis's grandfather's strange gaze, but he was a man who was good at controlling the atmosphere. "Grandpa Lewis, this is Leah!"

Grandpa Lewis was still as silent as a rock. Confused Leah.

"Jack, are you not wrong to bring me here?" Leah whispered next to Jack.

Jack glanced at Leah for a moment, then he tried to resuscitate Lewis's grandfather, who still looked stunned.

"Grandpa Lewis, introduce this to Leah!" Jack said moving places, he was standing next to the grandfather with his hand touching the shoulder of Lewis's grandfather.

"Ah, I'm sorry .. "Lewis's grandfather said, his voice trembling and hoarse. He looked awkward in front of Leah.

"Jack get us something for our guest this evening. "Asked Grandpa Lewis embarrassed at Jack, his face flushed red. He looked like an old man who was looking for attention.

"No, I don't want to bother Grandpa."

Lewis shook his head quickly at Leah's reluctant remark.

"No bother, of it was for you, my majesty." Grandpa Lewis bent over with one arm across his chest.

The grandfather looked so respectful of Leah, it confused her.

Leah glanced at Jack, who had his back to them. Was this old man part of Jack's magic trick?

What was she going to do here? Following Jack's suggestion seemed like Leah's big mistake.

She should be focused on Lauren, making money!

Leah looked around, she saw that there were many unique and old things in this shop. She remembers the objects she brought. But there was disbelief in Leah's heart. What might the object she was carrying was valuables?

Grandpa Lewis stretched his hands toward Jack without looking. "Where's the tea?" He asked with trembling hands. Her eyes continued to stare at Leah's face with mesmerizing eyes.

Jack was pouring a drink from an old silver kettle. He handled two small glasses which were also made of silver. Jack gave the two glasses to Lewis's grandfather.

"Jack get a chair!" Requested Grandpa Lewis.

Jack looked obedient, he took a black wooden chair, put it beside Leah.

He reached out, prompting Leah to sit on the chair.

"Ah, thank you very much," Leah replied a little reluctantly.

The attitude of Grandpa and Jack seemed too much on Leah's eyes.

Not long after, the two cups pulled over to the round table in front of Leah. Jack pulled the curtain, he closed the grandfather's shop.

Leah wondered inwardly. But she said nothing.

Jack took two more wooden chairs. They sat together at the round table.

"Please enjoy the tea, princess." Lewis's grandfather said invitingly.

Leah was even more embarrassed by this inappropriate nickname. Why did Grandpa and Jack call her the word princess?

"Jack ..." Lewis's grandfather turned to Jack.

"Has the time come?" He asked.

Jack nodded, affirming Grandpa Lewis's question.

Leah knitted her brows in confusion. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I'm here to offer you something, Grandpa." Said Leah interrupt the conversation between Jack and the grandfather.

"Ah, yes I almost forgot."

Jack picked up the sword he had put on Lewis's antique shelf.

"She got this from a man in a black robe who can disappear with wisps of smoke. I know, grandfather must know him." Jack said confidently.

"He crossed the parallel world to deliver this sword .." whispered grandfather Lewis with a mesmerizing face, in disbelief.

"What! What parallel worlds?" Leah asked, not understanding. She couldn't help herself anymore, she was very curious about this conversation that made her very confused.

"Princess, the time has come .."

Leah shook her head at Lewis's grandfather. "Why do you call me princess. I'm not a princess!" Leah was tired by herself.

"Things are getting worse there. Hundreds of years, we were trying to survive, but now the time has come for you to return. Come back .."

Jack puts the sword on the table, he keeps away the untouched teacup.

"Between the human world which is full of advanced and modern technology, we have different civilizations of life. We have different ways of life, We try to survive with each other selfishly, think of lives of them that are increasingly selfish and out of control."

Leah listened to Lewis's grandfather, who began to unfold Lauren's bed sheet wrapped around the sword on the table. Carefully.

"I'm a lucky old man, at the end of my age, I can see you, princess. And ... This is the first sword you get. You have to keep practicing, to get another sword."

all eyes stared at the iron sword on the table.

"You are the queen awaited! You can destroy cunning and greed. You ... the only ruler who can destroy the greed of the orcs, werewolves! Bring back glory and prosperity for the vampire clan. "

Leah took a deep breath.

"You are great magicians, I was amazed by your tricks!" Leah said then.

"But grandpa, I'm here to make money. Do you want to buy this sword, my aunt needed money for medical treatment .." Leah tried to explain the purpose of her coming to this strange shop.

"Leah... There are no cured vampires in human hospitals!"

Jack got up from the chair, he bent slightly to Leah, one arm on the table.

"Who is a vampire?" Leah asked with a confused face.

She glanced at Lewis's grandfather then the look in Jack's eyes.

"OH MY GOD !!" Leah shouted spontaneously backing away until she fell off the chair in shock.

"S, so .. yo .. you .. vampires? "

Leah trembled with fear. She clutched her neck, afraid that the two vampires would attack and suck her blood.

No wonder she had a strange dream!
