they may be ugly, but they are not evils.
George docked, he drew nearer to Leah, the direction of the gun changing.
Now it wasn't just one creature, there were three that came after Leah's sword cut the body of one of them.
"You called them?" Jack asked sarcastically, the man didn't dare get too close to Leah who was handling a sword, but he had to take care of her. The man grew his sharp nails, He was on guard with sharp black nails.
George notices Jack's sarcastic question. "How could I call them, since I was with you!" George peeked briefly in return then got ready to pull the trigger of the gun.
Bang!
One silver bullet pierced the head of the black-faced, fiery-eyed creature. George's shot made one of them disappear with black smoke.
"Usually, they only come one by one, but why are there so many of them tonight?"
"Don't ask me!" cynical Jack.
"You two!" Leah swung her sword behind George's back.
The creature with black smoke almost choked George's neck, but luckily Leah's sword was sudden to cut his head.
This creature cannot die, murdered one then another will appear.
"What do they want?" Leah asked, still on alert, she swung her sword in another path, these three black creatures were still seeking for them.
Jack moved closer to Leah, they leaned back against each other so they could oversee all paths.
"Leah is careful with your sword, don't get the wrong target!" Whispered Jack, give an alarm.
Leah nodded. "This sword should know where the enemy is going," Leah replied confidently.
"I hope so!" Shouted Jack, jumping three feet. He stuck his nails into the chest of this black creature, Jack pulled with all his might until the chest was chopped open and the chair back there could be seen through the hole in the broad chest.
George fired the gun again, the more he pressed the trigger, the more attack this black creature accumulated.
"Something feels weird in here!" Leah said while battling with the two creatures that attacked her at the same time.
"I think from the start, this inn and gas station was weird, everything is weird!" Jack replied irritably. From the start, he argued with the idea of staying here.
"That's not what I mean Jack!" Leah replied after successfully trimming the arm of one of the black creatures.
George was restoring a silver bullet, he's out of ammo, He looked panicked and scared.
"George!" Leah yelled, warning a shaky George, he still searched the handgun ammo he had stored in the cupboard. His hands were shaking so that all the contents drop on the floor.
"Jack you have to help George!" asked Leah, she was still battling the one creature that was trying to compel her.
"I'm lazy to deter other businesses, why do you like to get involved in people's business!" Jack muttered with a drained face, but he took a quick step and then flinched.
Dash!
His claws grabbed the black creature's head and then knocked it against the corner of the cupboard where George was still messing the content of the cupboard.
Jack's hit made the cupboard shook and lost its balance. The wardrobe fell along with the black creatures that evaporated together. The smoke was thick.
one left! Leah stabbed this creature's stomach with the tip of her sword. clumped black smoke.
They disappeared.
George leaned his back against the wall, he sighed heavily, his face very depressed. His back fell so that he sat on the floor with limp legs, his body trembling.
Leah's sword shone into the room, fluorescent green like the black creature's eyes that had turned into smoke.
"What happened to my sword?" Leah asked in amazement.
Jack didn't care about George who was limp. He stared at Leah's sword and was surprised. "your sword absorbs their energy." Jack said assuming.
"Oh yes? Will my sword also turn into black smoke and disappear." Asked Leah.
"I don't think so. But that sword might be even more hazardous. I would never want to touch it!" Jack said with a suspicious face.
So towards Leah, Jack stepped in another direction, he approached George who still looked spoiled. "Get up!" Jack stretched out his hand, helped George's body.
"Your body was big but you are weak!" Jack hissed mockingly.
Jack noticed the gun in George's hand. "Where did you get that thing?" Jack asked the gun in George's hand.
Leah returned to resting her sword on the table, watching the gun in George's hand too.
George still lost his strength. He put the gun down on the table, then grabbed a chair and sat down limply.
"Thanks to you too for helping me. I don't know what would have happened without you." Said George in a trembling voice.
"Where do you keep your daughter?" Asked Jack.
Leah arched her eyebrows, she was also curious about where George kept the daughter he had told her about earlier.
"You want to meet her?" Asked George.
Leah nodded quickly while Jack looked calm. He doesn't seem that interested, but seeing Leah's nod, he was forced to nod too.
Leah gripping her sword.
"I hid my daughter in the best place." Said George then tried to be strong.
She was "Come on, I'll take you to meet my daughter." George pointed out a wall where the cupboard had been closed.
"I found a room here like it's a secret room. Full of seals and silver. My daughter will be safe in here." Said George then pressed the wallboard.
Leah and Jack followed George's footsteps, behind the plank of the wall was a small hallway that could only fit one body. They marched down the hall.
in front there was a ladder, they went down the steps until they came to a small door.
George opened the door with a silver lintel. He entered accompanied by Leah. Jack looked alert.
"You don't want to come in?" Leah asked seeing Jack stopped behind her.
"You go ahead, I'll wait here. "Jack said, folding his arms across his chest. His eyebrows tightened together. He smelled a strange smell in here.
Leah nodded in agreement, She walked in after George.
"Dad! I'm scared!" A girl's screaming voice. Leah could hear the voice but she couldn't see exactly what the girl was like.
"Dad is here dear. Calm down. "George knelt and hugged his daughter.
Leah rounded her eyes. She could see a little girl with green skin, small ears, red curly hair. Its eyes are round with large teeth.
"Miss, this is my daughter. Her name is Amelia."
Leah was taken aback, then she nodded slightly with a faint smile.
"This is what we are." Said, George.
The man changed form. The human skin turned green like her daughter's, her mustached face also disappeared, turning into thick lips with messy teeth.
They are green swamp creatures, they may be ugly, but they are not evils.
Leah's sword glowed again. She could see her surroundings changing.
The floor she was partying swayed, the solid tiles turned soft, slowly, slowly.
The tile floor turned into a mud puddle.
Leah was trapped in the green mud that made her legs unable to move.
"What is this?" Leah asked in disbelief.
George and Amelia turned their heads, they were compact showing their messy teeth, They grinned grimly.
"I'm sorry miss, you have to stop here!" Said George, he took his daughter in another door. Disappeared.
"I've got a human! Now you must free my daughter!" George's voice echoed, then slowly disappeared as Leah was trapped deeper and deeper in the green smelly mud.
"JACK!!" Leah screamed for help.
Too bad, Jack had just left of the narrow path. The man was looking for something that had been bothering his sense of smell.
"Jack! Come on, where are you!"
