"Auntie. Auntie." Alexa gently shook Charlotte who fell asleep on their way to home.
"Huh?" Charlotte woke up startled and on edge. She looked around the car in panic.
"Relax Auntie Charlie. It's me! Alexa. We're home."
"Oh," Charlotte heaved a sigh and slumped back on the seat. The tension on her face loosening up a bit.
After she called Elliot, Charlotte could no longer stay in the office alone. She left a voice message to Sofia since she still wasn't picking up and was about to leave when Alexa called for a late night drink. Charlotte did not want to go home alone now that she knew someone was watching her 24/7. She knew she should tell her brother Carson about this new found threat but the shock was still overwhelming, she couldn't deal with this now.
"Let's go in," Charlotte said absentmindedly. There was one thing she was forgetting.
Alexa gathered her stuff and dismissed all her bodyguards before taking out her emergency suitcase out of her white, Porsche Cayenne. Alexa was going to stay the night and wherever she went she would be prepared since it was a habit to sleepover anywhere.
When Charlotte entered inside, a pleasant surprise awaited her in the kitchen.
"Ellie what are you doing here?" Charlotte asked.
"I'm staying over tonight, remember." Elliot replied as he circled Charlotte's waist and brought her into his embrace. "I was going to make you some dinner so when you come back you don't have to go to bed hungry." He gave her a deep, long kiss of yearning to express how much he missed her.
"Aah, holy mother of cows!! My eyes!!" Alexas scream came from the doorway of the kitchen. Charlotte and Elliot split apart lightning fast and stared at the figure running away.
"Hon. Who was that?" Elliot was dumbstruck. He was unaware of this unexpected guest.
"My niece." Charlotte sheepishly answered. "How can I forget about her?" She knocked her forehead with her hands and muttered 'stupid' under her breath. Elliot held Charlotte's hand and stopped her from hurting herself.
"It's okay. It just means we have to reveal our relationship a little earlier than expected." Elliot pacified as he hugged Charlotte.
The original intention to hide their real relationship was because neither were ready to expose their bond to the public. Because then, one way or another, public scrutiny would tear apart the beautiful love they shared. Another reason was beaches they didn't want their families to know. There would be some form of rejection. Whether it be age or Elliots fame, something would be there to tear them apart.
Charlotte and Elliot, both wanted to ensure that they were serious about each other before they introduced their family because then they will be ready to fight for what they want.
"I'll go and talk to her." Charlotte said as she ran after Alexa while also thinking of an explanation.

"So the two of you." Alexa pointed at the two sitting in front of her and said, "–are dating."
Charlotte nodded.
"And this has been going for how long? Nearly two months."
She nodded once again.
"And you didn't think to tell me?" Alexa scoffed. She rolled her eyes and glared at Charlotte. "And you Mr Lewis–"
"Alexa sweetheart, this is not Elliot's fault. You see–"
"Not now Auntie! I'm speaking to Mr Lewis." Alexa acted strict when all she wanted was to jump up and down in joy. Her Auntie and her favourite actor of all time. Yay!
At first when she saw them kissing she was a little shocked but nothing close to angry. It was her aunt that thought she was upset at her for hiding it–which she was for like a minute but that didn't matter. Alexa couldn't help thinking of all the privileges she was going to get. With the excitement boiling inside her she nearly exposed herself.
"Mr Lewis, please explain yourself."
Charlotte shut her mouth and smiled helplessly. Elliot intertwined their hands and gave it a tight squeeze reassuring Charlotte.
"I'm sorry Alexa. But we had our reasons for not telling anyone of our relationship. I'm guessing from the things Charlie has told me, you two are very close and you must be hurt that she didn't tell you anything about us but please give us some time to explain." Elliot started.
Alexa pretended to think for a second before she answered, "Okay I'm listening."
As Elliot explained, Charlotte noticed Alexa easing up. Charlotte was guilty of hiding her relationship from Alexa since they were so close but although this was not the way she wanted The latter to find out at least she no longer needs to hide it from her anymore.
"–and if there's anything I can do to make you feel any less angry at us. Please tell me." Elliot finished with a bright smile.
Alexa contained herself from squealing. Her favourite actor just smiled at her. "Alright. I'm not a petty person. All you have to do is give an autograph, a photograph and VIP tickets for your next movie."
Elliot laughed and cheerfully replied, "Deal!"
