Chapter 3 - Home

Throughout the day Leo had explored the new land from the rivers, valleys, and mountains. Yet he knew it was only just a fraction of the land. If he were to do some calculations he would say it would be no more then 7% of the place. Yet he didn't mind as he had all the time in the world.

But what he did mind was finding a new place to call home as it was soon turning night. While he was sure nothing could really harm him, whether it was the weather, monsters, or people he still would rather sleep in a place then out in the open. Which leads to the new problem at hand, where exactly is he gonna settle down?

'You know a mountain sounds like a nice place, but they just don't seem that cool' Leo thought to himself. But at that exact moment a idea came to him, why not just make his house instead. He has the power, so all he needs now is to find a place to build it at. And so for the next 5 minutes Leo pondered on if he should make it in the mountains or in a flat land. And after much thinking Leo decided to go for the mountains as it had much more potential to look cool.

(Authors note: Yeah I know right, so childish. But I would do the same XD )

Leo then decided by first making the mountain grow in height so it could pass the clouds. And so with the ice and earth element Leo started to expand the area. What he had in mind was a ice castle on the very top of the mountain while also having the descending sides of the mountain be part of his home. so he was mainly gonna work with ice, and occasionally the other elements.

But during the process Leo started to attract unwanted attention as the whole continent felt the ground tremble and rumble. As the tectonic plates were being pushed and shoved upwards. And only got worse as you got closer to the mountain. Animals and monsters were trying to get as far away from the mountain as soon as possible, but to no luck as the ground was shaking to much for them to balance themselves. Animals and monsters alike were roaring or crying for help, as they had never been in such a situation before.

Kingdoms all around the continent were in crisis as they had no idea what was happening, furniture falling left and right while people were frantically trying to figure out what was happening. Surprisingly though no one died, thanks to the kingdoms being far away from the mountain.

However slowly but surely everyone around the world start to pay attention to one place in particular, the mountain that seemed to be growing upwards to the sky at a tremendous rate. It didn't matter who it was, monster's, animal's , human's, elves, beastmen, fairy's, demons, dragons, etc... The whole world just went silent as some watched in awe, while others in fear at the spectacle happening before their very eyes. The whole process didn't last more then 10 minutes but to them it felt like 2 hours.

And as everyone was starting to think that was the end of it all another spectacle soon appeared again. As a huge ice castle was being formed right before their eyes. Made of what could only be described as dark icy blue crystals that seemed to sparkle even in the night time. No one knew what had happened but soon enough a dragon was spotted flying upwards to the castle. And in no more then 2 minutes had reached the top.

And everyone around the world waited in anticipation to see what would happen next, but nothing happened as the dragon just walked in through the huge doors and closed them. This left many people baffled, but one thing was for certain now, every major power now had a new destination to explore. Some driven by greed wanting the castle for themselves, other's looking to slay such a power dragon so they could go down in history, while other's were curious as to how a dragon could pull off such a feat. Even though dragons were considered the apex of the world, even a single dragon couldn't pull something of that portion alone. Nothing had that much magic reserves. Soon almost everyone's fear and panic was replaced by curiosity, greed, excitement, and so forth.

But the ones left the most curious were none other then the dragons themselves, as there was only a hand full of dragons alive. 25 to be exact (not that the kingdoms know this, as they themselves don't know how many dragons live at the moment), not because they were hunted to near extinction, but because the dragons simply were to lazy to even reproduce most of the time. Of course dragons had been killed before, however that was only under the joint effort of 2 kingdoms working together. And even then the reward wasn't worth it as they lost many troops in the process. So it was then silently decided that they would simply leave them alone, as most of the time they just slept.

But were getting off track, the reason the dragons were curious about the sudden events that transpired were because they had never seen this dragon before. And were wondering where exactly did it come from.

Poor Leo however didn't think that his actions would have such dire consequences, he at most thought that the animals and monsters nearby would be the only ones affected. But not the whole continent instead. Cause you see Leo here didn't pay much attention in class to know about tectonic plates and how they work. Not only that but he was also hovering above the ground so he couldn't feel the ground shaking.

Basically Leo was in for a surprise, but not before he got a good nights rest.
