It had been a week in a half since the last chapter...
"Whoo!" Sors ran and jumped into the huge outside pool!
Everybody was relaxing by the warmed pool or playing in the pool.
"Marco!" Angel yelled out as he stumbled around in the water.
"Polo!" Richard, Sors, Osdy, and Luna yelled back.
And Quaesitor was just straight up laying on the tiled floor next to the pool face down...he's just weird.
Kego and Julieta were both sitting in white long chairs.
"Something not right. I can't be the only one who noticed." Kego thought hard, then as if a light bulb appeared above his head, he got an idea.
"You don't need to tell me so please stop making weird faces," Julieta told Kego before he could even say anything.
"Oh, Well that's a relief. Wait are my thinking faces weird?" Kego asked as he touched his face.
"We can't here though. It's too dangerous." Julieta was acting like nothing was happening as she talked with her eyes closed.
"Skipped my question I see. Hey you want to spar?" Kego asked Julieta.
"Thought you would never ask." Julieta and Kego both stood up.
"Guy's we'll back. Me and Her are going to spar." Kego told them.
"I want to watch," Richard responded while hopping out of the water.
"I want to see it too." Leslie set her paper down.
Before they knew it, they were all outside watching Kego and Julieta get ready.
"Richard, can you let us know when to start?" Kego asked him
"Sure. Ready! Set! Fight!"
Julieta and Kego's speed was already a lot to handle but after training. It was ridiculous!
"Where did they go?" Avery looked around.
Luna sat on Sors's lap, pointed, and said. "There." Luna pointed at what seemed to be air before Julieta and Kego appeared in that spot.
"Wow! You got a good eye." Sors told her.
"I can see them but they are like blurs. How the hell can she see them?" Richard thought to himself. But he wasn't the only one think that.
Julieta raised her sword up in the air and came down with a powerful slash! Kego punched her blade and an explosion of power was set off! The ground shattered and shook under them. But it seemed their power was more under control than before so the explosion didn't go very far but was powerful.
In a mind space...
Kego slowly opened his eyes, "...We did it!" Kego whooped.
"Yes, we have." Julieta nodded.
If you remember what happens when a Human power clashes with the power of another being, this should not be new.
"Alright let's start. What do you think is missing?" Kego asked while pondering himself.
"It seems to be a person from what I can remember. But what we can confirm is that our memory has been messed with. And Cari not being here is not good." Julieta place her hand on her chin.
"Alright, then we should just go straight to the man himself?" Kego was referring to Solis.
"No, if Cari really isn't safe causing trouble might be bad." A silences fell for a second, "We have to write down the names of everybody here. Make sure you do it privately. That way if we forget somebody we always have a list to remind us of something missing."
"Our times are almost up. See you back in the real world..." Kego waved, then the next time they blinked Julieta and Kego woke up and were clashing! Kego hurried and jumped back and so did Julieta.
"Alright, I think that's good enough." Kego stretch his shoulders and just walked away.
Julieta nodded and then walked the opposite way.
"Those two are built different." Avery amazed by the power he had just seen, he snuck off to train.
"That was amazing!" Luna cheered and clapped.
"Whooo!" Sors was right along with her.
"Anybody wanna go back to the pool?" Angel asked the group.
"Yep," Richard, Osdy, and Leslie got up to walk off.
Sors smiled. "Looks like it's just us 3 then," Sors told Luna and Quaesitor.
But when she looked over Quaesitor was laying face down again.
"...Us two then." Sors looked down at Luna.
"Why is he-"
"We don't talk about it." Sors quickly cut Luna off.
"Ok."
Changing the conversation Sors asked, "Oo! You want a piggyback ride!?"
Luna raised her eye brawl a bit,"...A...Piggyback ride?"
"Wait you've never had a piggyback ride!? Nope, changing that right now." Sors lifted Luna off her and mentally set her on her feet.
Sors turned away from her and got on one knee, "Just wrap your arms around my neck and I'll handle the rest."
Luna a bit confused did as she said.
"Up on 1,2,3" Sors grabbed Luna's legs and lifted her up.
"Woah!" Luna squeezed tighter.
"See, not so bad." Sors smiled, then suddenly started running really fast and jumped into the air!
There were no screams so Sors kept going, Jumping of the top of trees as if she weighs as much as a feather. She gracefully glided down onto a tree branch.
"Wasn't that fun!" Sors looked back whiled relaxed on the tree branch.
Then she heard sniffling. And Sors's heart dropped. Sors quickly set Luna on the tree branch and held her so she could stay sill.
"I'm sorry!" Sors bowed deeply, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Sors wouldn't stop repeating herself.
"It's...ok. I had never done something like that." Luna wiped her tears.
"...Yeah that makes sense. Hey, Can you give me another chance? This time we can take it slow." Sors practically begged. She was feeling something she had never had before.
Luna nodded "Ok."
Sors energy became warm and soothing. She turned around and waited, then she felt Luna's arms wrap around her. Then she lifted her up and jumped down from the branch. and as gentle as possible with absolutely no sound, she landed on the grassy dirt forest ground that had patches of snow covering some parts.
Slowly taking her time, Sors walked through the forest.
The slight breeze was nice as the snow crunched under her feet. The sunshine leveled out the cold. The air smelled fresh and the sound of birds chirping and other animals brought a greater calm.
"My dad always said that nature is one of the most beautiful things to ever exist. I could never go into the forest by myself though. And dad is always busy." Luna got more comfortable on her back.
"Hmmm, well I'm sure he's working a lot to keep you safe." Sors just said whatever she first thought of. Like she does most of the time anyway.
"But I would rather be unsafe and with him than safe and alone." Luna buried her face into Sors's back.
"...Because of my appearance, that I can not control, I've been almost killed. Been beat and, a lot more. My brother was always by my side though. It's nice to have family that is there to help you when you're in trouble. So for now on, I want you to think of me as not only your friend but your sister too. If that's ok with you."
"Really! Yes!" Luna started squeezing Sors tight.
"Y-yea...I can't breathe...!" Sors muttered.
"Oh! sorry, I just got really happy." Luna was still smiling though.
"Ok hold on." Sors sat Luna down to her feet and turned to look at Luna. "Let's make it official." Sors poked a little hole in her palm, blood soon came leaking out. "This might sting, let me see your hand."
Luna reached out her hand. Sors grabbed it and then poked a small hole in her palm.
"Now." Sors place her bloody hand on Luna's.
"W-ehat is this?" A feeling was rushing through Luna's body. More then the feeling of being wanted. Tears began running down Luna's face.
But Sors knew those weren't sad tears. So she just gave her a warm smile.
"Alright, that's that." Sors picked her up and set Luna back on her back. "We should head back now. It'll get dark soon."
After this time kept flowing as it dose. another week had passed.
"..." Cari was still hung up being whipped and all.
Then he heard footsteps and the girl who had him trapped here and a man's voice.
"I can't wait. Her face is always priceless." The man's energy was violent and brutal.
Then the voice stopped in front of Crep's cell. The sound of her cage unlocking echoed.
"Hey, I have a good idea to give you even more of a kick." The girl spoke sinisterly.
"Oh, what would that be?"
the girl smiled and then grabbed Crep by the hair and started dragging her out of her cell.
"Aaahg!" Crep tried to keep up but her body was weak.
The girl dragged Crep out right in front of Cari's cell.
Cari barely opened his eyes.
"It seems this one has taken a liking to this girl. Do it in front of him." The girl's smiles stretch across her face. And the man was getting a kick out of this too.
The girl suddenly put her hand on Crep's head then a green light flashed.
"...What? Where am I?" Crep looked around.
Cari's eyes didn't change.
"Let's get started." The man held her down...
In Veritas realm. She was relaxing but then suddenly the sky turned dark and it started to rain. Winds grew strong!
"What's happing out there!?" Veritas yelled to Cari. There was no response. Things just kept getting worse as the water in the pounds and lakes began to catch fire!
"Oh my gods! Ah!" the rain started to reach boiling temperatures. Then the sounds of a woman screaming for help echoed! "What are you going through!?"
It continued like this for 20 minutes before it finally stopped. But the lakes were still on fire and the sky was dark.
Back in Cari's cell.
The man zipped up his pants as he stood over Crep.
"That was the best I've had in a while. You always deliver Nancy." The man told the girl. Who's name was apparently Nancy.
"...Nancy?" Cari whispered.
"Seems like someone like the show." Nancy smiled at Cari evil.
"Nancy...Nancy. I'm praying for you...better hope your God hears." Suddenly an overwhelming amount of violent energy filled the whole underground! Cari's eye stared her down like an angry god.
A cold sweat ran down both of their necks and faces.
"Naaaancy~ Why don't come in and show that torture you always like to do." A smile contorted across Cari's face. "Come on Nany. Come play!" Cari started laughing and sent chills down their spines.
"Be silent-!"
"You won't find peace after death. Did you know that?" Cari cut Nancy off and overpowered her voice without effort. "I'll make sure you suffer for eternity. You as well." Cari's eyes slid over to the man. "Killing you will be fun."
"ha. You kill me!? Come get me then." The man stepped up to the cell.
"Sorry but this dog knows no tricks. Come in here...And see what I can do." The bloodlust was starting to drown them! "COME ON! COME IN~!"
The man staggered back and fell to the floor.
"Nancy~. Does that mean you won't play with me anymore? Are you scared of this dirt-skinned powerless boy! HAHAHA! What a bitch!"
"You say anymore and I'll kill her!" Scared for her life she took Crep as a hostage.
"You think I care?" Cari's smile didn't budge. "Let me out of here and I'll kill her myself."
Nancy's heart sunk into her stomach when she heard that, but she stood her ground, "I know you're lying!"
"Think about it this way. When I get out of here. Everything you put me through...I'm going to return in ten full. So her death is going to add to how much I'm going to make you suffer."
Those words echoed through her head...and the worst part was that she couldn't bring herself to think it was a lie.
"If you think you can kill me I got people! they'll die for me!" Nancy tried to scare him.
"Oh really? It's funny that you know that they'll die." Cari chuckled.
"Enough! We're leaving!" Nancy told the man that had fallen on the ground. She threw Crep back in her cell and walked off fast.
Cari's smile dropped when they left. Then tears started rolling down his face. But his eyes didn't look sad. "You can't run." Cari's bloodlust was swallowing Nancy and that man even though they were running away.
"Why! Why does it feel like no matter far I get!" Suddenly Nancy felt chains wrap around her body as a scythe pressed against the front of her neck like somebody was holding it from behind! "What the hell!?" Fear. The only way you could describe Nancy's face. The man had completely passed out!
When she turned around everything stopped and the chains were gone. There was no scythe. Just the overwhelming amount of bloodlust she was feeling made her hallucinate.
But the bloodlust had weirdly stopped altogether. But she didn't question it. She just got up and ran! Leaving the man behind.
"...See losing track of time is not good," Cari whispered from her cell. Then the most bloodlust smile slithered across his face...
