It's had been 5 days after the last chapter...
Reigga woke in his room. The sun shined through the blinds. The birds chirping. Reigga got out of bed and stretched. Having a room to himself he didn't worry about waking anybody. He put on his school uniform and walked out the door heading for the school building.
Finally making his way out of the boy's dorm he smelled the fresh cold morning air.
"It snowed a lot." He thought to himself as he made his way through 6in of snow.
As usual, he made his way to class and sat down in his usual spot.
"Alright, class let's get started," Tsude told them then starting to write something on the board.
As the sounds of chalk hit the bored Reigga's eyes became lower and lower.
"...I'm so sleepy." Suddenly Reigga's head fell on top of his arms on his desk.
In Reigga's dream...
A person...more of a shadow figure stood over him with a light brighter than the sun cast behind him. Reigga began to open his eye and saw the shadow standing over him.
"...Where am I?" Reigga looked around and saw he was in a place of infinite light. with the only shadow being the one cast by the shadowy figure standing over Reigga.
"Don't move from my shadow. You'll be torn apart from reality." The shadow figure told Reigga.
"That's all I needed to hear. So where is this? And why am I here...am I dreaming?" Reigga curiously bickered.
"Let's start with question 1. Where is this, this is a place of color." The shadow told him.
"But I only see a bright white." Reigga was confused.
"Your mind can't comprehend colors on this level. To put it simply. You're weak." The shadow teased.
"So I'm weak even in my dreams. That's some bullshit." Reigga pouted a bit.
"going to your 3rd question off that. Is this a dream? I'll leave that up to you. Take too long and this place will be eaten by the Somnium Unicorn." The shadow even though not showing it the shadow seemed to be smiling.
"The who?" Reigga was falling into deeper confusion.
"As for why are you here." The shadow continued, completely ignoring his question, "We'll I guess it's my fault."
"Alright, then why-"
"That's enough question from you." the shadow cut him off. "Your future is coming."
Those were the final words Reigga heard...then he woke up.
He sat up quickly causing his friends to stare at him.
"Y-you good?" Clad was standing next to him He looked like he was just about to wake Reigga up.
"My body..." Reigga sat there for a second with his hand on his heart.
"What's wrong?" Latina started to look worried.
"O-oh my bad. What time is it?" Reigga took his hand off his chest and looked around.
"It's the end of class. You slept the whole day." Tosen told him.
"Damn. Bro, I had the weirdest dream." Reigga thought out loud. "...Am I still asleep?"
"Damn dude you're really out of it. No, you're awake. Are you really ok?" Dontris raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. Anyway, I got to go to work. So I'll see ya guys later." Reigga waved goodbye and walked away.
"...Do you guys think what those girls did to him is still bothering him?" Latina asked the group.
"Might be. He's definitely not ok though. Ugh! I hate those bitches!" Clad clenched his fist.
"We have to do something to make him feel better," Bentra told them with her soft voice.
"But what?" Nisa asked.
"...I don't think there is anything we can do but be here." Clad felt the feeling of being useless.
That feeling soon spread to everybody in the group.
A few hours later...
"Alright, I'm leaving," Reigga told his boss. He worked in a potion shop. Not Lolite's though. Of course, there was more than 1 potion shop dumbass.
The boss just gave him a look. Reigga just smiled and walked out.
"Somnium Unicorn? Colors I'm too weak to see? What the hell was that dream. I guess I'm gonna have to do some studying." Reigga thought to himself the headed for the library.
Reigga arrived at the library and went up to the lady at the desk.
"Excuse me. Do you have any books and Unicorns?" Reigga asked her. She looked up from the book she was reading that had no words on the front of the book or the back.
"Unicorns? You believe they are real?" She asked him with a straight poker face.
Not sure if he was looking dumb right now Reigga looked kinda embarrassed, "N-not really. I just think they are cool I want to know more."
"Sure. Follow me." She stood up and led him through the library. The shelves on the left and the right towered over them. She walked for a full minute until she stopped in front of a small bookshelf with only about 15 books. Not even making it above the waisted in height.
"The three books right here are the only books we have on Unicorns. May your studies of them be bright and colorful." The librarian told him and walked away.
"Guess I'll start reading these." Reigga grabbed the three 200 page books. He sat on the bench right next to the bookshelf.
The first book was called Unicorn of the color.
He reads the book for about 30 minutes. Learning the random story of Unicorns. One was about how a Unicorn kicked the wall of the universe and shattered it. Using the shards of the universe the Unicorn made a home where all Unicorns could live. And another about how the Unicorns ate a flower of color so bright the Unicorn's eyes started to glow brightly. Bringing Light to infinity. A story of a man who sailed the universe and found the land of colors.
"So Unicorns were some type of godly animal. But who is Somnium? Then again I don't even know if what I'm looking for is real." Reigga sighed tiredly and closed the book. "Maybe I should just go home." He stood up and carry the books with him as he went back up to the desk.
"Hey, I want to check these out," Reigga told the librarian.
She nodded and set it up then handed the books back. He left and went back home and fell straight to sleep.
"...I'm here again." Reigga looked around and saw he was back in the place of nothing but white bright light. With the same shadow standing over him.
"Yep. I would just get used to it if I were you." The shadow figure told Reigga.
"Hey, last time I got cut off. I want to know more about who Somnium is. And why would it eat this place?" Reigga leaned in when he spoke.
"You want to know more about Somnium? Well, there is not much info on Unicorns to begin with. But Somnium, there is almost none at all. But however there are a few things, Somnium is the Unicorn that foresees all dreams. Have you ever wondered why you forget dreams? When the dream is meaningless Somnium eats them. Completely erasing them out of your mind. This is all that is known about Somnium in the universe."
"A dream eating Unicorn? That's insane. I must be going crazy to dream stuff like this." Reigga laughed a little.
"Yeah...sure." The shadow sounded disappointed. "Your future is coming."
Those were the last words Reigga heard before he soon after woke up.
"Damn. I feel fully rested. But I don't feel like I've been sleeping for long." Reigga repeated his routine in the morning the headed to class.
"Hello, class." Tsude smiled as she walked in.
They all responded with a morning hey and class started.
"Today we have something interesting to talk about! Fear! What is Fear?" She looked to the class for an answer.
Latina put her hand up, "strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger."
"Right! Fear is a dangerous feeling. But helpful in some ways. Today I'm gonna tell you why it sucks! First off start with Qompo. As you should know unless you don't pay attention in class, If your Qompo is too weak you can not harm that thing you are trying to hit. It may even make you get hurt. But this specific emotion is fear. Can make you weaker. If somehow your opponent strikes fear into you, holes will form in your Qompo and it will weaken and the weaker opponent will be able to harm the stronger opponent." Tsude started going into some philosophy about fear.
The class continued on that conversation for the rest of the time.
After class...
"Just a whole class telling us not to be bitch made." Clad sighed.
Reigga stood up and walked down to Tsude who was organizing some papers.
"Hey, Ms.Tsude, Can I ask you something?" Reigga asked trying to get her attention.
"Hm? Sure."
"I know this might sound weird but...Do you know anything about Somnium?"
"Somnium? I have heard a few stories..." Tsude's eyes seemed different when saying that. And the feeling she was giving off was kinda making Reigga want back away. "Tell me Reigga, how did you learn of that name?"
"Don't tell her." A voice whispered in Reigga's head.
A cold sweat ran down Reigga's face and he stiffened up, "You know what, never mind. I think I'm just going to leave." Reigga hit a sharp turn to the door and sped walked away.
Tsude just watch as he left with a straight face. Then after he left Tsude soon followed.
"Run!" A voice shouted in Reigga's head! Reigga wasted no time and started sprinting like he never had done before! For some reason, something told him not to stop!
Then he ran into a soft chest and bounced back onto the floor.
"You know it's pretty rude to run out of a conversation." It was Tsude with a slight smile.
"Ho- whe-?" Reigga was too shocked to speak.
"I forgive you for doing it," She crouched down in front of Reigga like a thug, "Now...We should pick you where we left off in that conversation."
"I'm sorry but I don't really want to talk anymore," Reigga told her as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"...Shame." That one word made the whole world spin for Reigga as it felt like 1000 pounds were weighing on his chest.
Reigga stood up slowly and tried to limp away. The hallway started spinning making him fall to the ground.
Tsude walked over to his out-of-breath body. IT was like nobody in the world seemed to exist at this moment. Tsude's eyes were like fire blades stabbing into Reigga.
"Am I about to die?" Reigga thought to himself. "No...I can't! I still got to...mom!"Suddenly a bright color light flashed Color beyond understanding!
"You're! You're real!?" Tsude said in a panic! "Would have never thought you were the one who told who told him that name."
"...The future is coming..." That's all Reigga heard...then he woke up!
He jumped out of his seat in class "AAAH!" yelling like a mad man he scared everybody in the class. He was covered in sweat.
"Dude!?" Clad had been scared to his feet.
Reigga stopped and looked at everybody staring at him.
FEAR...
Reigga took one look at Tsude at the front of the classroom staring in confusion as well, then he fully sprinted out of the class.
Clad went chasing after him and so did the rest of the group.
"Hey! Reigga wait up!" Clad yelled out.
Reigga didn't stop. Fear had tookin over him. He ran pushing a girl down to the floor.
"Hey! Watch it!" The girl yelled but Reigga was already down the hallway.
Reigga ran all the way to the dorms and up to his room and shut the door.
"Open up!" Clad banged on the door coming right after he shut it.
"Hell no!" Reigga yelled back sobbing.
"Dude what's wrong!?" Clad heard the crying and got even more worried.
"That feeling! It was like I was staring face-first into what fear truly is!" Reigga balled up on the floor and pulled his hair.
"What the hell are you talking about!? who!?" Clad yelled back.
"I saw him run out like he had just seen a demon. Is everything ok?" Tsude asked the group as she randomly seemed to have appeared on the side of them.
"I don't know. Something really shook him up." Bentra responded.
"Was it because of those girls? They must of really did something to his mind." Tsude told them.
"Those stupid whores! I hate them!" Latina huffed.
"Are you scared?" The voice in Reigga's head asked.
"Yes! I'm so scared!" He sobbed.
"...Let me help." A bright light surrounded Reigga's body. IT was warm and calming. Reigga's breaths began to slow down. And his tears stopped.
"This is all I can do for you. Seek truth and you will find power. Truth from the wrong places can harm you. Move steadily. And pick only those you trust to ask certain things..." The light slowly faded and then a calm spread through the whole school. For a few minutes, everybody stopped what they were doing and just took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry for making you all worry. But could all you leave for today. I'll be out tomorrow."
